Norton Dominator SS bike from the James Bond movie with machine guns on the front. Has Daniel Craig's bottom sat on that seat, I wonder?
For me this was the car of the show, if you could only sniff the interior you would understand why. It is for sale but can anyone guess for how much?
Damon Hill's FW15C that he won his first Grand Prix in 1993.
This was Eric Morcambes Jensen Interceptor that has been fully restored and I am sure I read it has just been auction off with a guide price of £150,000, but don't quote me on that. If it is true I wonder how much it sold for and to whom, or has it not gone yet?
We met Martyn and Sue at 9am to look around the cars before they set off on their rally, then it was off to see the karts (missed them in action though, whoops) and group B and C rally cars in action before hitting the halls (4 of them). By 5pm we had not managed to do everything, we missed the Burnout and Classic Bike Trials so for £20 I think that was a bargain. Last time I spent £20 I got a spot of lunch, it was over in minutes and was nothing special, this was a full day of loveliness.
It was nice to see Steve from Northamton Motor Sport and thank him personally for doing such a fantastic job on my Westfield last year, I can't praise you enough. I can't workout why the Westfield factory do not display there, in fact we could have a mini kit car show as a precursor to the main event in May, it has whet my appetite.
We met Martyn's friends Geoff and Mike there and I don't forget a friendly face. I think Geoff parked next to me at Stoneleigh Kit Car Show and we chatted briefly, it was in 2014, am I right? is this your car in the picture, the yellow one? Mike, a rally marshal, left saying he needs to buy a Westfield, he is right and your friend Ian Evans in Chesterfield does too!
