  6. By the time the laser gets to the height of the aircraft climbing out, the beam is quite wide, probably about 2-3". If you've a steady hand, it's pretty easy to "paint" the side of the aircraft with the light and see it from the ground. Meanwhile, it's refracting through the windows and reflecting all over the cockpit without loss of intensity or power. Looking directly at a beam that strong for a split second is enough to cause serious or permanent eye injury. I've no doubt a few passengers in first class might have been affected as well if they saw it. Hope they catch the idiot who did it.

  10. Machine Polish using a DA is the only long term solution. Black hole will just mask it but will come off. I found for best results. Wash.. clay.. wash again.. black hole... then a sealant. It's not that much effort to do a DA Polish.

  15. Take a look at page 2 of 30th edition of WW - that's me using a tinted visor (Bell) compliant with all current MSA regs (still) - never had any problem with the scrutes - I also cut down a club sticker to use as a sun strip to the top of my visor - as I also wear specs on really bright sunny days I also wore my tinted glasses Some scrutes do get bolshy and bossy especially when bored - just keep smiling and thank them for their advice - tell them you address it as soon as you can (lie) and they'll usually go away and annoy someone else
