  1. sounds like a great car and I'm not far away in Tamworth! Hope to see you at a Derby and Notts meet in the future and keep an eye out for the Peak District area runs as we do get around Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire at times if you don't want to come too far into Derbyshire.

  2. NEW MEETING DETAILS BELOW:- Venue: Brewers Fayre (Pirnhill Inn), Glasgow Road, Stirling, FK7 8EX Date: Sunday 28th FEBRUARY 2016 Time: 12:00 noon Please note the venue change from the last meeting as is my desire to give as many people as possible a fair opportunity to attend our meetings. Traditionally, this is the meeting where we set out our stall for the blatting/social season therefore, PLEASE make every effort to attend and contribute to what you'd like to see and get involved in for this year. If you can't make it along but wish to contribute, please post on here or ask someone who is attending to speak on your behalf Note - As we're now pushing on ever closer to getting back out on the roads, it's important that we can confirm as many dates as possible (certainly ones for the early months), so please ensure that you and/or yuor suggestions are aired at the meeting! See you there!

  4. All thats asked for is couple of hours of your time to help out.Past duties have included such roles as manning the autojumble, car parking marshalls, meet and greet, teas and coffee, and volunteers for the cars on display. It's a great way to meet and chat to a lot of clubs members

  5. How is it that it happens? Mrs H had a cold at the beginning of the week, she gives it to me and what do you know, it turns into full blown Man Flu. Its just not fair.

  6. I'm with Buttercup on this one I'd persevere with Softbits, but recognise they can be a pain to get hold of sometime. The quality of their work is second to none.

  11. Neil, welcome! Not sure if you have been to any club nights yet as I've missed a couple due to work recently, but get yourself along to the Derby Notts club meetings on the first Thursday of each month at The Clock in Shardlow. I remember the nervous excitement of the wait to pick up my first Westfield, you defintely won't regret buying one!

  13. Stoneleigh 2016 Camping Information Show Dates are: Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May Set-Up Day is: Saturday 30th April This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but we will be updating as necessary Important Information about Free WSCC Camping Our ability to offer free camping for volunteers has been impacted over the last couple of years by current, ex and non-Members using the area when they are specifically not providing the Club with their services. The arrangements we have are with Stoneleigh and Grosvenor Events and are on a first come first pitch basis and for WSCC Members and families who are supporting the Club by way of volunteering their time over the show weekend. This arrangement has been sanctioned by our hosts but it has come to their attention that not everyone on the WSCC pitch has a valid right to be there. In essence this erodes the cash takings for the show ground as it results in a drop in takings for chargeable camping and of course makes us look bad. Therefore, the Club needs to specifically remind you that: · Camping is available to show volunteers only · Being a Member does not automatically entitle you to camp for free on the WSCC campsite · You will only be able to camp if you have a wristband and these will be checked · Electricity hook-ups are available however, this costs money so please treat these with due respect for others usage and everyone’s safety · Noise MUST be kept to a minimum · There should be no noise on the Camp site after 11:00 PM · Sorry, no dogs · The Public Camping Area is to be used as overspill if needed (free of charge for volunteers) · Members who are NOT volunteering their time should use the Public Camping Area · The WSCC Camping Area will be signposted and roped off · The WSCC Camping Area will monitored by WSCC and Stoneleigh Security · Those who fail to produce a valid wristband or other authority to camp will be asked to relocate immediately, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions · Those who decide to not comply with any of the above will also be asked to relocate immediately As daft as it sounds, we will be policing this. We don’t really want to, it really does sound daft but, we do not want to bring the Club into disrepute or upset our hosts, our neighbours, or the Members and their families who provide the Club with their time. We hope you understand.

  16. I have tried and failed in the past and decided that at my level of general driving ability it was adding in an unnecessary complication Size 12's don't help either

  17. Mark, I remember the year after I bought it seeing you at Autosport helping on the PlaySkool stand, hence why the car shortly afterwards ended up with their belts and roll cage on it! Will be really sad to see it go, we had some tremendous races last year in it, but the longer endurance stuff is very unfriendly to these types of car. With the Boxster we'll be able to do stints of 90-120 mins.
