  1. Well Gents. I'm pleased to tell you, that after first inital attemps, and very alarming news from a lot of mates, I've been lucky and and after finding the right person to speak in spain and explaining the situation, MSA is now autorized to Issue a License for me! Hope during this week I can have sorted the stuff with MSA. Back on track again. I'm very glad to be able to say that, fortunately, and despite my pessimism, finally seems I'll be joining you!

  2. Oh, I am weak!! I have capitulated! I have renewed my licence with the organization whose name may not be spoken. And I have arranged for my car to go and have its cage b******dised.

  3. My vote depends on your future plans. I love carbon but the black looks better on your car now. If you plan (or think it might happen) to put carbon in other places then I would want consistency so would go for carbon. Believe me, getting carbon is a slippery slope! I stared with a little and now have a lot. Marks (carbon-Nov) products are great and he is a very helpful chap.

  4. Thanks for the welcome. Will indeed post pics ASAP and plan to attend meetings. Alas I'm not that imaginative Julie - 'fraid it's just my initials with a number as it had to be 3 characters (I'm a boring fart at heart ☺️)

  5. I've also been along the Churnet valley by boat. Here we are about to crash in to the side of Consall station while I take a picture of a train. It was raining then too.

  7. It's a best before date. Whatever you do, don't eat it after July 13th 2049...

  9. Sounds awesome, I am in Uttoxeter so your within hailing distance of me there! We have a steam power narrowboat (dont ask) and have had a whistle-off with the Churnet valley on our last jolly up to Froghall. And we fit through the tunnel and everything. Just! Daniel

  12. Just put in gear and turn input shaft and count turns required for output shaft to turn once. You probably only need to do it for 1st because if that is standard the rest will be. David

  14. Wow, we must all be very determined to get out in our cars and everyone was subjected to the cold today, but Marcus/Ricky, snow! and Dave, rain! at the start, I admire you. Everyone did laugh though as Graham took off his coat and was just wearing a t-shirt, as he climbed into his mini, he took the verbal abuse well. It was good to see that everyone was appropriately dressed, showing that these cars are not just for the summer.

  15. Welcome Steffan, and congratulations on a beautiful choice of Westfield! Don't worry about asking questions, just fire away! Even if you think it's been asked before, things change with time and it's always good to have the latest views and information. Do try and get along to your local meet(s) if you can, you'll be made more than welcome, and do feel free to visit as many as you fancy - all meets are open to all members, though if we all turned up at once the pub landlord might have a hope art attack Oh, and w don't check the car park to see if you're in a Westfield, many aren't at this time of year. Many areas are just getting together for a chat and to plan the coming years events. It's always a great chance to quiz local members about things like Westfield friendly local garages and services etc. Have fun with your new car.

  18. As a landlord, I have never withheld anyone's deposit, then again I always makes sure that we have good tenants and that the rules are clear. I allow pets, but they do more damage than humans and the biggest issue is getting the place clean afterwards. No one likes to pay, but if everyone knows upfront that there will be a deep industrial clean and in extreme cases carpets to replace then there is no argument. Even if you have insurance, if pets are not allowed you are in breach of your tenancy and could face uninsured costs as a result.
