  1. On the Woodlands campsite on Grand prix weekends it usually works like this:- The site is subdivided into lively and family (quiet) areas, also each area has an electric hookup area at extra cost. When you arrive you are directed to your chosen area, is is marked out into individual pitches in lines. You are instructed to go to the next available pitch in the next available line, where a marshall will line you up within your pitch. In the past I have said to the marshall "my mates coming along later can I save the next pitch for him?" They have always obliged, how they would react to someone saying " can we start a new row and save it for all the Westy owners" i dont know. But if you fire up the BBQ quick and offer them a burger and a can of beer, I'm sure they would be happy to please you iyswim. There are bars, food stalls and plenty of good clean toilets and showers available on GP weekends, as the Classic is only 2 weeks after the GP I imagine they will all still be in place. Woodlands is situated behind Vale grandstand, between Stowe and Club, about a 10 - 15 minute walk into the circuit depending on where you are on the campsite (it's big) I hope I've covered everything there. 2. OK, the screen is bolted down at sides and centrally. Made a trial fit first and when I was happy with the position, I taped (electrical pvc tape) along the leading edge of the screen and on the scuttle just leaving a few mill, then backed off the bolts and put a bead of silicone sealant under the edge. Bolted down the screen which created an extrusion of silicone along the length of the screen where it meets the scuttle. Using a wet finger (and I know it's disgusting but saliva works best) removed the excess with my finger a few inches at a time. Then whilst it is still soft removed the tape leaving a nice neat straight edge and sealing the screen beautifully. Just remembered I did have to weight it with sand filled sandwich bags in places to get it to sit flat.

  6. A bit more info I've only found out today regarding the parade lap: > As has been stated already, there'll be a marshalling area for the cars on the parade lap which everyone will have to be at a good 45 minutes to an hour ahead of time to ensure only those eligible are on the lap and in the formation we want (TBC) > We will be doing a register of people attending and on the parade lap with their names, Silverstone ticket number and car registrations, who will be given a wrist band to prove their eligibility to go on the lap - again, more details on this later > Because we are running about in two-seat open-top cars, children aged 12 and under will NOT be able to go as passengers in our Westfields on the track in the parade lap - no exceptions, I'm afraid > There will be a MSA disclaimer (of course) that anyone and everyone going on the parade lap must sign I will keep updating this as it goes on, but it's all coming together nicely

  7. I originally put it up for 450 and had an offer at 390 but he didn't want hood/roof. £420 it is now. I can't go as low at the other wanted. As you can see above people will take wipers and I have someone who will take the screen and wipers for £200 if you want his details and hood and doors I've been offered £50 for. Not playing a Dutch auction but was unsure on how popular it would be. More pics. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTA4MFgxNDQw/z/OBcAAOSwgyxWUYVt/$_57.JPG

  16. Tim, £80 is just for the net type covering, you still need a regular cover to go underneath it. The stretchy net just keeps the regular cover pressed tightly down and stops it billowing and flapping as the air gets underneath it at speed.

  21. UPDATE: I am pleased to tell you that the WSCC will definitely get to do a parade lap at Silverstone on the Saturday. It will either be at lunchtime or at 7 PM when it's still daylight (sunset time is 9 PM) and prior to the Group C race and the rock concert. I'm continuing to work on this and pushing for lunchtime. You can now book your tickets with confidence!
