  1. Had my first ride, in 40 years, on one of those big trucks with lots of seats in it yesterday. Went with a friend who gave me instruction on how to use this card and a bus. Nice of HM Gov. to think of us oldies and provide us with a means of travelling to the pub, door to door for free and not to worry about Drink Driving laws. Was a little adventure and we are going to do this again many times. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

  2. Haven\t tried that yet, is it good? Your right, have grown up a bit since the photo was taken. Also keen to spend my Winter Fuel Allowance on a trackday in February, that is what it's for I guess?

  3. Definitely... Tillet - Dave will give excellent support and advice. Would have been my first choice. OR JKs if budget more of a concern. Jordan equally helpful. I have been very pleased with mine too. If you can't find any to try out near to you. Come over for Stoneleigh Kit Car Show or the Silverstone Classic, where there will be plenty of owners willing to give you in seat experiences!

  5. You need a normal car cover together with Load Hugger Net which goes over the normal car cover! It is available from Hamilton Classics around £80 I have had mine for over 3 years and it works absolutely brilliantly! No rips in the cover and no dirty car when you get to the venue! Hope this helps B R Graham

  8. These covers are all ok for parking up the car but don't work when towing on a trailer, better using the standard roof or tonneue which don't rip or damaged the gelcoat. Some trackdayers have tried a cover with a net over as well with mixed results.

  13. Tim got my full car cover from Halfords, small car size,it is waterproof and soft so won't scratch the car and breathable. It has elastic at front and rear and two straps that go under car and pull tight. Had it a few years but can't remember how much

  14. Fellow members, First of all, a very happy New Year to all of you! 2016 just happens to be the 30th anniversary of the founding of the WSCC, a significant milestone in our history that we will be marking and celebrating this year in a number of ways. One you already know about - our club stand at the Silverstone Classic on 29-31 July. The club's 30th anniversary is the reason we are being given the opportunity to do a parade lap around the GP circuit on Saturday the 30th, a detail we had to keep secret from you until today. We also today recognise the club's longest serving member, David Jenkins. David joined the club in 1986 while building his pre-lit, which he still owns! He has been a member all these thirty years, and was Member #1010 (effectively Member #10, as membership numbers started at 1000). The Committee decided to recognise and reward this achievement by bestowing Life Membership to David effective from today. Finally (for now anyway - more fun as the year goes on, you don't get to know about all the goodies today!) and back to the Silverstone parade lap. As we're celebrating our 30th, it's only appropriate we celebrate our Westfields that are thirty or more years old. Therefore, the Silverstone parade lap will be led by David Jenkins and his 1986 pre-lit... along with all WSCC members driving their pre-lits. So you pre-lit owners, book your Silverstone Classic tickets now, you're going to be the leaders and stars of the WSCC Parade Lap! So happy anniversary WSCC - here's to a great year ahead and to many more years to come!
