  2. Well. I don't know if is the place, but, have not found any other propper place to share the video. Have been a very special weekend for me. In my better dreams, was completely impossible that after selling my race car and my trailer in spain, and leaving all my life in spain... in three months in the country, i would have a new car, a trailer, and trackdays and fun. Of course, was a very warm welcome to the british style. Anglesey... Cold, Wet and Windy. (very windy). I want to share with you my first experiences with my westy. The video, maybe is a bit boring at the beguining (first laps) and seems a little out of control in the end (some sideways and too much oversteer) but, please, be considered with me. New track, very low experience in wet, new car, and most important... IM DRIVING IN THE WRONG SIDE of the car... (my dialy is a proper european bimmer with the stering wheel and the gearstik in the proper place). So... enjoy...

  3. What a Baptism for you, in a Westfield, on a UK track, bit of rain and cold thrown in. It does get better next spring, well a bit anyway Go Maurici

  4. It's only when you regularly see people using both a smart phone and a urinal at the same time that you're likely to get the pay off. Seeing someone drop their phone into the urinal is priceless. It quite literally made my day the first time I saw it happen.

  5. Thanks for the nice comments guys, just seems right, wanted to sprint but goal posts keep moving and that means more expense. If it doesn't sell I won't be too disappointed as it's had a small fortune spent on it this year (£2500) and I haven't really spent that much time out and about. James, likewise on the sale front, I'm sure you'll sell in good time.

  6. Hi Julie, thanks for organising this weekend. Just had a txt from Baby Bio (James) saying what a great time he had over the weekend and that I was lucky to have such nice friends. Here's a couple of my pics One of the Vulcan and one of another nice fire with Rickyboy's daughter enjoying the warmth :-) Look out Carlsberg, if Julie starts brewing? Regards Richard

  7. Ooops we did it again! The Vulcan Bomber We met Martyn and Sue, and Richard and James at the Cat and Fiddle, where it was a touch breezy. Dragging ourselves away from the real fire we set off into new territory. The Cat and Fiddle We slowly and carefully wiggled off down the twists and turns, as leader I lost control first. It was different to the sideways slur of a couple of weeks ago, you just had to sit that one out until you regained grip on the road. Today this was a skid, turn into it and straighten up quick before you end up on the wrong side of the road. Next minute, Martyn was in my rear view mirror doing the same thing. So I slowed down even more and I am watching Martyn then I hear the familiar Pinto growl and he is off again, naughty. When we arrived at Woodford he had this daft Westfield smile on his face. We got lunch but couldn't find Bob. To cut a long one short he made it to the car park and led the line of 3 Westfields into the AVRO museum over the road. Firstly we went for our photo with the Vulcan as it was not raining. Then we went on our guided tour and finished off with a cockpit experience. The museum, cleverly done in date order like Gaydon, showing which planes were made and when. I am off to find out what the difference is between a radial engine and a rotary engine?? The Vulcan cockpit. There is no room, you cannot see anything out of the windows and there are 3 million buttons in it. It smells lovely but I can't place the aroma, it is annoying me. It's not the oil/leather of a classic car, but it is similar. Not a bad view from the cafe As a car club we were made very welcome, many of the staff were car enthusiasts. We expressed our gratitude for the photo opportunity and made our way back into the Peak District and home. Thank you to everyone for joining us in yet more foul weather.

  9. Yes, Novices can run in any class and will have an easier target time than the experts in the same class

  10. All rather contradictory (and confusing) on the Avon site: “The Avon ZZR design brief was immense. “To develop the fastest dry weather, track orientated, road legal, E-marked race tyre in the world”. This tyre is intended to be fitted to vehicles involved in motorsport competition and not intended for non-competitive road use. http://www.avonmotorsport.com/road-legal/performance/zzr
