  2. Passing the time waiting for my plane to take off - was particularly amused at the gate when a chap threw his suitcase away rather than pay £50 for Ryanair to put it in the hold!

  3. i would rather have seen them demo it with 2kg of chicken vindaloo! and the gummy bears are probably not an issue from the sounds of these bits of feedback http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EVQWKC/?tag=buzz0f-20

  4. And here is the finished article - this is what an evening's work with a kit should produce (without the red woolly jumper ): I reckon it would make a perfect Christmas present (well better than socks, anyway!) Now the prices: For non-members, a kit will be £25+postage or £55+postage for a pre-assembled and tested unit. For WSCC members, take 10% off this, so a kit will be £22.50+postage or £49.50+postage for a pre-assembled and tested unit. If there are a few members from one area, I can obviously combine postage. As far as logistics, I should have 7 complete units ready next week. For the kits, I'm waiting on PCB's, but I was able to increase the order from 10 to 20 boards and I'll be soldering up the first 2 (at least) to take new photos for the instructions, so there should be plenty to go around... I've made a note of the order people popped up in, so if you'd like to order one, please send an email to my private address (in the contact area of the fitting instructions) with your forum name and we can go from there! [i'm away on business for a few days, so please don't worry if you don't hear from me immediately] Thanks again to everyone for the kind words of support - it's helped enormously since I didn't quite realise how many hours I'd end up devoting to this one I'll keep the latest version of instructions here: http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/blog/13/entry-280-self-cancelling-indicator-blinkstop/

  5. It's sort of true, the reason being that BT lines are extremely susceptible to radio interference and reducing the length of the line will help stabilise your connection, BUT if you have an extension coming off the main socket to anywhere in the house, this line will still pick up interference regardless of where the router is located. Do you leave the router on 24/7? I ask because if you turn it off/on a certain number of times within set time frame, the line registers this as a connection loss or fault and dynamically reduces the broadband sync speed (BRAS profile) in an attempt to get a stable connection. Once this ^^ occurs, if you start leaving the router on 24/7 it can still take up to 6 weeks for the line to get back up to speed.

  6. Sadly it seems as though every small motorsport business I contact has shocking service. Nothing in stock, not replying to calls or emails whether you are wanting to buy something or have bought something. It really makes me wonder how half of them stay in business. David
