  1. Winnats Pass 2nd gear round the left hander then it's up the hill. My foot flat to the floor with MattyCatty getting bigger and bigger in my rear view mirror, I know I will never pull away from a supercharged S2000, but it is bags of fun trying. I love it. Another steep hill on the way to Hayfield and Bioman was off, oh it's fun, top speed kept down I might add, keeps the licence clean and the roads safe. We arrived at The Packhorse for lunch al fresco in the warm sunshine We were joined by Paul and Pat, who had just bought this Westfield today. Paul has a Tiger, and now Pat has her Westfield, good choice Mad man alert Thanks to Bioman for making today happen and to everyone for coming it's been a laugh.

  2. Hi everyone Me and Andrew had a great day today thanks to Richard and Liz and jointly Julie and Glen. It was great to see you all again and also meet some new people. The weather stayed great all day and the dinner spot wasn't bad either . I think my westy's getting ready for a new lambda sensor as we had a massive backfire coming over the strines as well as the car drinking and stinking of fuel like something possessed (as tricky knows too well). anyway here's the pictures; cars all parked up at the strines. Picture from the other end of the car park. Parking up in a "sump killing" car park just before winnats pass. Cars stopping for a quick photo-shoot, did attract a bit of attention from the tourists. all the cars (including new arrivals) taking pride of place in the "Pack Horse Inn" car park. other end of the Pack Horse Inn car park. Quick "Westy selfie" as Andrew calls it. Andrews video on his channel of our quick blast towards winnats pass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t13nbhDi6ng Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks again, and hopefully it wont be too long before we see you all again. Barry & Andrew

  3. Nobody broke down, that means we didn't have Sue and Martyn the Manic Mechanic with us then . Well done to Bioman for organising a great day.We have met some new people, starting with Alan in his yellow 2litre Zetec Westfield called Paddy, Clive/Sue and Trevor in the Tigers, Dave in the Robin Hood with it's 3L Jaguar engine, Diggsy in his carbon fibre wrapped Westfield, mmm. Also Tricky, Barry/Andrew, Mr and Mrs Bioman and MattyCatty. All arrived at The Strines After fuelling we made our way through Castleton towards the Winnats Pass where we stopped for a quick photo and to re-group. Then we went up Winnats Pass.....more pictures to come

  6. Hello all Just a few quick points before posting your For Sale ad, which will help everyone - and advice to potential buyers as well. To all sellers Please do not post adverts on behalf of non-WSCC members, as this is against club rules and such adverts will be removed You may post an advert on behalf of another WSCC member if they are not computer literate and cannot do so themselves As there are occasional and sad circumstances where an existing or lapsed member is no longer able to post, you may also post an advert providing you have the OK from the committee Don't forget that Guests can see this area of the boardroom - if you want a Guest to be able to buy your car, you'll need to put a contact number and / or an email address in the ad, as Guests cannot reply or PM you! Please include a price! Or as a minimum, a guide price on your advert, it's ok to say "or nearest offer" or to ask for offers in the region of a specified amounts. But adverts with no price at all may be removed by the moderation team. When you have successfully completed the sale of your car, please edit your original post and topic title (using the "Use Full Editor" option) to indicate is has been "Sold!". It can be quite a let-down for excited people with money to spend to spot their dream car for sale, only to read through a long thread and find out it's no longer available, as I'm sure you can appreciate. Marking it as "Sold!" is the polite thing to do! Lastly, if you are selling your Westfield, did you know you can transfer the remainder of your WSCC membership to the buyer? It's probably the most valuable accessory you can include and a real sweetener for the deal! Just contact the Membership Secretary when you've done the deal and we'll take care of everything! To potential buyers You've come to a great place to buy your Westfield - thank you. While the car you buy from this section is likely to be fantastic, the WSCC recommends you always do a HPI Check on any car you buy for your own peace of mind to ensure there are no issues with the car Although we are good bunch with much integrity, please do remember the old adage of "buyer beware" Please do pay as soon as you can and within the limits agreed with the seller To ALL The WSCC holds no responsibility or accountability for vehicles bought and sold. The Club merely facilitates the advertising of such things as member benefit and does not provide a transactional service. Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding, best of luck!

  7. September 6th, 2015 Spend: £25.00 Julie kindly organised a (very) small group buy on a stainless steel laser cut Westfield badge and today I fitted mine. September 13th, 2015 Spend: £0.00 Another weekend spend to investigate why the DRLs switch off with the engine running. Have taken the brave pill and partly rewired everything so that I can access the fuses easier when the scuttle is on. Also rewired the indicator/hazard circuit, but this made no difference whatsoever. Somehow there is a current on the indicator circuit both when the engine is off and running. Even when I had disconnected all indicator end points it would not go down to 0V. As a last resort I put another relay on the indicator circuit (to only switch current to the indicator on the DRL when the indicators are being used) and this did the trick. It adds another failure point into the wiring, but I'm past the point of caring September 20th, 2015 Spend: £1.95 Deja vu! Yet another weekend spend to investigate the DRLs. Whatever the cause, I don't know, but I finally managed to get it working, in a completely different way that I would never have thought to be the solution. As per last weekend, I don't really care anymore so just enjoy the photo Last month: £ 2095.72 This month: £ 26.95 ----------+ Total: £ 2122.67

  10. Well, a short update. I HAVE A NEW CAR!! No much more things to say about it. I think everybody knows the car better than me, The car is fantastic and drives like a dream, but the important thing, the most important thing is to have the oportunity to meet Adam. Fantastic guy. Really helpful, and very deep knowledge about the car. Many thanks for ALL Adam. Cant wait to meet more owners in a meeting and share some time with you!!
