Oh no with all these cars up for sale (Stephen, James, Mark and now this) it could be a smaller speed series field next year.

I think Jeff has hit the nail on the head. My CVH engined 1.6 was doing exactly the same when I bought it I fancied a change to a mechanical gauge anyway so bought a Racetech. Stripping the old one out the sender just didn't look right, and on checking it I found it was actually a low pressure switch not a constant pressure sender so it would read nil without the engine running and max with it running.

Thanks David, it does look fun doesn't it? Makes me wonder why sprinting is so complicated.......but let's not open that debate again! Noise should be ok, I've been there a couple of times. My car always seems to be well below the limit required. Thought it would be nice to have one last blast before the winter upgrades commence!

Looks fun. I did one of the Evo evening trackdays earlier in the year. Just be careful if you have a noisey car as Bedford stricter on sound. Can't make Saturday though and car already in bits ;-)

Have a recent ( August) rebuilt by 1st motion - unused - type 9 short shaft Heavy duty (250hp) 2.66 1st / 0.86 / 5th geared for 3.92 / 15" wheels / mzr -duratec / 7.5K -8K rpm - change of engine swap means this is now surplus to requirements.

Sad and emotive but even I'm reluctant to admit it's the right decision now and I have seen these things at airshows since the 70s as a kid! When it's that far beyond any other Vulcan is it worth the risk when the 3 expert companies cannot guarantee her safety record - how would everyone feel if it did break up? Retire on a high - it was only supposed to fly for 1 season anyway - that team have been fantastic to have achieved what they have!!!
