  1. Well what can I say - over 30 members at the meeting last night - all rather overwhelming. Also a kind letter from the Chair read out in public, a feather duster from Julie and Glen for de-cobwebbing my Westy (Glen got his kiss!!) and a Morrisons carrier which contained: A dialect tea towel (handy for understanding Tricky!) A Yorkshire flag Yorkshire Lad shower gel from the Yorkshre Soap Company Yorkshire pudding mix Some rhubarb from the Rhubarb Triangle Farm Shop Authentic Pontefract Cakes A packet of ginger crunch creams A bottle of Old Peculier A packet of Yorkshire Mixtures (so good for my diabetes!) A jar of my very favourite Rhubarb and Ginger Preserve also from the Rhubarb Triangle Farm Shop Bradwell's Book of Yorkshire Wit and Humour (also good for understanding Tricky!) A packet of Yorkshire Teabags, and finally Six bottles of Pennine Vale still water. What can I say A great big thank you to all my Yorkshire Area mates for these generous presents, their great company and best wishes of good luck in our new adventures in North Norfolk. Martin

  3. Well her indoors says yes so I definately plan to come this year, to get me back into the groove for 2016 if nothing else. I might be owed a pint or two me thinks so might be a cheap night anyway  BTW: Garry now in Class H and for all those concerned with Race 40, the 100 point problem has also been resolved. Sorry about that, a misundertanding of the rules on my behalf. Cheers Tiggs

  6. We don't allow Tigger to look at Terry's blog until he's done the scores. normally he's locked in a dark cupboard and only allowed out when all finished. Mind his reward is a nice jar of Honey

  7. The old electronics/repair workshop prank used to be charging a chunky big capacitor up, waiting till someone was concentrating on something else and shout catch! Soon as they looked up, lob it at them for an easy catch. Most would catch them by reflex, usually getting a buzz as they shorted the contacts. The other favourite was zapping people with Mega's. Probably a a good job no one had week hearts...

  8. nice. i used to like putting a bit of dry ice in an eppendorf tube. you can then clip the lid and leave it next to your unsuspecting victim on their lab bench. an escalation is liquid nitrogen in 50ml universal tube, or liquid nitrogen in a 2L pop bottle but this one ususally required a canal.

  9. A memorable and well attended evening which gave Martin a good send off and welcomed Robin nicely. A letter from our chairman was a thoughtful touch too. Now is the time to stop looking so terrified Robin and be proud of your new position, it's a great thing to do. Here are some of the pictures of the evening, taken after we had dispensed with the kisses, including Glen! apologies to Mrs Van Zee. Clever socks had already guessed what was inside before he opened it. But he didn't expect a bright pink one I liked Robin's 'high carb diet' t-shirt
