  1. Doing the Recycle run to the local tip today. In the scrap metal skip I saw an interesting red box and opened it up. This is what was in it. It's been recycled, but not the way the scrap man was intending.....nuff said.... I didn't have my own before this, so I'm a lucky bear!

  6. Wow, you guys worry far too much....in the grand scheme, absolutely everything we do is utterly and totally pointless.....enjoy your time however feels right for you. Just try not to be too much of a dick while doing it and I reckon you've done all you could.

  7. Just found out a younger (and smarter and better looking) bloke at work is at a residential school working towards his MBA in Business Studies or something like that. Not only is he trying to keep on top of his day job as well as doing the studies, but he has taken all his years holiday allocation to match his residential schooling sessions. I spend my evenings cutting up pound coins or drilling a few holes in a wall to hang radiators and try very hard not to think about beer. I suspect in not very long he will be my bosses boss. That doesn't worry me, what sort of worries me is that I'm not worried... My only goal in life is to have two Westies. One for the roads and one for the track and a triple garage for them both, with under floor heating... And my own micro brewery...

  8. Good idea to have moved the date. I will be along provided I am back in time from a trip to Manchester (not quite so elegant as Greece David but at least the cash machines should be working up-north!). Keith

  11. Nobody gets out of this alive. As long as you have enough dosh to do the things you want to do, anything else is a bonus. After 26 years in the military and able to get the early pension and paying off the mortgage I'm in the happy position of working as much or as little as I want for myself. The freedom of not being in the rat race is liberating and I have no desire to work for anyone ever again!

  13. Yep, you're spot on there John, many thanks. They're only 5 minutes away from me and great guys, really knowledgeable and happy to go through reference books to find what you need. They had everything in stock bar the rotor arm and that'll be in at lunchtime today, all for £28.

  18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Plastic-Y-Piece-Connector-Joiner-Hose-Pipe-Tube-Joiner-Rubber-1-2-5-10-50-/221282529731?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item791cb18119#ht_3652wt_1254 It says 120 degrees but I suspect that'll be fine - presumably it'll be mounted relatively far away from the crank case anyway. I just use normal rubber fuel/oil hose. Works fine.

  19. Agree to both points... As for the second point, they can a) vote and b) own guns - sigh... But going back to the footy, I've discovered I CAN watch a footy match. I just can't watch the hysterical, overpaid primadonnas that play the mans game. Its some what ironic that the ladies play in a more masculine way and the men mince about as if their nail varnish is still wet...
