I have the "Wife" model which records everything I do and then reminds me of all my faults for the next month, very reliable but I must admit it can work out expensive in the long run! If anyone would like to trial this please feel free to borrow for the next week/ month/ year or decade!5 points

As Andy says, not a bad turn out and the weather stayed nice. And a couple of tigers as well.. The drive back was better as we didn't get stuck behind any lorrys, Thanks to Ian, Dave and jon for coming along for the drive. All thats left is for ian to get his finished and if your reading this Ian, get back in the garage.3 points

Yup, you'd be surprised how critical to the route to the IVA station in Chadderton the airport tunnels were!2 points

I trust we covered most relevant road going parts of the performance envelope; brakes, maneuvering, round-about lapping, that sort of thing!2 points

I've used a small range (0-50Nm) 1/2" drive one with 1/2" to 3/8" to 1/4" adapters and then used 1/4" socket's extension bar and wobble bits to get in the awkward areas such as drive shaft and prop shaft fixings!1 point

I also recommend the Halfords range I bought one for work five years ago to torque down lids on containers and the ratchet only fell to bits after 130,000 lids, under normal use it should out last you, also it remarkably stayed in calibration despite never being backed off,1 point

I use a Halfords 3/8" Pro range wrench, it's got a wide enough range for most typical fastenings, but is reasonably compact.1 point

Nothing that won't be right as rain soon enough Jon, no worries! A good run out a good rummage round DT and a good chance to see Trevor and a very nice collection of Tiggers.1 point

I use them, had a couple so far so. If it looks like I'm not going out over winter and there is likely to be a lot of wind, rain and snow, I pop a cheap tarp over it. Otherwise it fits just fine. There's three straps and buckles, one right across the middle and two at either end that fit nicely by the wheels. It should last me another year by which time, as with yourself, I should have enough cash to get the Hamilton.1 point

Just wanted to give a big for Black Phoenix, a specialist parts company, who managed to send some injectors to me overnight. Paul was very helpful and professional on the phone and kept to his word - what more can you ask? http://black-phoenix.co.uk Cheers!1 point

no probs the wide body moulds have changed a few times over the yearshttp://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/104285-spot-the-difference-–-bodywork/1 point

from the description I'm guessing that Rob has the earlier "kit type" ducted nosecone rather than the current ZK bodywork that was supplied with your new kit, but Westfield now only have the moulds for the standard unducted "kit type" nosecone.1 point

+1 on what the MotCO says. When I got my car it had a breather from the crank case and one from the can cover. These had both been connected together, bypassing the catch tank. This would have lead to overpressurisation, so I reconnected them both to the catch tank. I then had problems with the tank filling up, so blocked the can cover outlet. This solved it. My car now has a breather from the crank case only, via a manual car, non valved separator and a hose to the catch tank that goes via the highest point under the bonnet. This has worked very well. I still sometimes see a little oil around the filler cap, so may go for blocking it up too. Reckon MotCO's logic is sound. The catch tank has a breather filter in it so this will let air in as well as gas out. On a Pinto the crank breather is a long way from the fuel pump blank plate, so a flat pump blanking plate is fine. Jen1 point

I'll set off about ten min early as I need to fuel up as I have a tank the size of a soup can. In the words of mr Wolf... its twenty minutes buy car, I'll be there in ten.1 point
