My personal thanks to all in the Stoneleigh Team who helped make it a smooth, efficient and enjoyable event. Andy, Ian, Marcus and all the blue shirts did a great job and it went so smoothly that it was unreal. Honourable MemSec Mark Redpath worked his socks off signing up new members and renewing others, as well as selling new club key rings with profits going to our charity of the Air Ambulance. The turnout at the AGM was great and there were some interesting and relevant questions raised by the attendees which we were all too happy to field. BBQ Master Ian did a superb job under the new club awning, and the increased variety of food also seemed to go down well. My thanks to all those members who made it to Stoneleigh and I hope they enjoyed themselves very much. All in all, another great effort with great spirit which made every other club look very small and insignificant indeed by comparison - I'm proud to be a member with you all. On behalf of the Committee, thank you all very much indeed.7 points

Simple and cracking idea. The big entrance arch/banner is normally sited right on the tap (we used it to attach a hose to feed the water boiler in the marquee) so it would be no problem at all to do this3 points

This illustrates perfectly why it's not a problem in my books. Yes, we're the Westfield Sports Car Club, but do we want to look or be considered as snobbish in the same way other car clubs do? Most definitely not! It's not like we ran out of space! You were and are most welcome2 points

First time I've been as a member - the club looked so impressive, I can't honestly see why anyone visiting would choose to go anywhere else! A hose pipe and sponge area would be handy for the tarts amongst us (or maybe its just me) Could we persuade WSC ltd to also sell Mark's paper cars, maybe also as the kids leave the drifting area?2 points

Ah, now that's a good point and therein lies a tale...! I have explored restarting membership cards with lanyards for the show, but the cost and hassle of doing so would be extortionate for something that would likely not ever be used by the vast majority of members, so that idea was shot down in flames with the crew screaming in agony all the way to ground. I can check to see if we can get blank clip-on / pin-on badges that the stickers can be, er, stuck to as a possibility - does that sound like a good compromise? Yes, but you missed your chance to do so during the nominations and elections in March / April. so you'll have to wait another 12 months and put up with me. Rab, thanks to you and the Scottish clan for making the epic trip down, it was great to see you all - well done!2 points

and again my thanks to the committee, the oragnisers, the helpers and all that attended a particularly large thank you to Tony (Housebeautician) who gave up two full days to help me supply the club merchandise - he made what was last year, too much for me to manage (although I did) into a much more pleasurable experience - he also braved the ride up in torrential rain on the Sunday morning I had the pleasure of meeting many new faces and many that I had seen before (even if I did have to look down at the odd sticker or two to get the names ) and another thank you to Mike and Rich who kindly turned up with the parts that we had discussed It was also good to see the fabulous three looking fairly relaxed during the show as well and able to perhaps enjoy it a little more (unlike last year) Thank you Cleggy1 point

Congrats to the organisers and all who helped. A great effort by the club. Showing some members cars in the hall was a good idea but I thought we might be able to do a bit better by having more informative info boards for these cars, as I think the purpose if I recall was to show a wide variety of cars from through the years and provide info on the history and key changes and differences. I think this display also did well to show the huge variety of ways Westie can be finished and how it can used e.g. racing, sprint, track day, long distance tourer etc. I think everyone who visits the show will scour the main halls but not necessarily visit the club stand since I guess its beneficial to maximise the opportunities a hall presence brings. Happy to volunteer my well-toured Mazda SDV for next year!1 point

I second the car cleaning area...a few buckets and sponges would have been great!1 point

I think the improved Autojumble procedures kept things running nice and smooth, and all members were happy enough to complete paperwork. I wonder whose idea that was1 point

I admit I didn't see any either, but it does always seem a busy area what with cars in there as well as all the tables and helpers. Easy to miss in my opinion. I think this sort of information would be best served by people greeting entrants to the marquee. I did also find myself looking at everybody's name badge for an online forum username to put a face to the name but 'young pretender' was the only one I saw. I think John K's suggestion of a white board to write site visitors names is a great one. A chance to find somebody you may have only ever spoken to on the forum.1 point

A massive thank you to all the volunteers who made this another fantastic show, too many to mention but you know who you are...... I would like to personally thank the owners of a yapping little black dog for keeping quite a few of the hard working volunteers awake at various times throughout the night and then doesn't even lift a finger to help out at the show......... rant over1 point

I thought it was fantastic. I never found the time to go anywhere but around the Westfield bits and enjoyed meeting up with all the familiar faces and meeting ones that I have been talking to on the forum. Great to meet you Phil, Andy and Mandy. Big thanks to Andy, Ian and marcus for putting on the best Stoneleigh I've been to. (or you could read it as the Westfield kit car show) I will admit that it's smaller the it used to be but there are Wessie's everywhere, whats not to like. See you all next year.... Stoneleigh, it is what you make it. Check out this lot. Could do with another polish....1 point
