  9. Sitting on the loo with a head cold listening to the rain hammering off the window thinking why the hell did I buy a Westie... Have to come in it as I'm only 30 miles away and not using it would make me the biggest girls blouse out there. So it will be, no roof, no doors and hell mend the pneumonia...

  11. To cushion our pining for Sroneleigh we have been to the Bakewell Spectacular today. The event is also on Bank Holiday Monday for anyone that can go, it is a brill day. First I had a passenger ride in the rally car Then Tricky had a go Some eye candy Then the absolute best bit, Julie's favourite past time....Lawnmower racing...I love it. Mine (number 4) won the first race, but Tricky's (13) won the second race, so we were quits. Nearly wet my pants with excitement in the process, I am very sad aren't I? A great day out for the family too, aerobatics, dancing girls, birds of prey, vintage tractors and a beach with deck chairs for the kids.

  12. Great day, very wet drive down there although I was bone dry with towels wedged down the side of the doors. Weather soon changed and we had our picnic sat outside on the car rug.

  13. Didn't get as wet as expected, only my feet really and they dried out. Visibility was bad on the M1, but brightened up as we got to Stoneleigh and stayed good all day. Better drive home with the top off.
