  1. Now I'm through IVA, it's time for this wheel to move on to the next club member looking for a steering wheel to get through the test. I was was at least the second to use it, so it's certainly not new, but it's in fair condition. A little scuffed in places, but otherwise undamaged, this is the standard Mountney type factory IVA friendly wheel with mounting boss. Includes the padded crash pad. In true Club Karma tradition, this wheel is a loaner only. ie it's yours for free, and when you're through IVA, you give it to the next Club Member in need, and so on! Can take to Stoneleigh.

  2. The on-site cafe seems to open lateish. There's usually a club BBQ at 18.00 hrs on the Saturday for those that have been helping set up the club stand(s). There is then the main "social" BBQ on the Sunday evening. Food is provided at both - in previous years, you have been able to bring stuff to put on it as well, but please check with the organising team if that's OK, before bringing food down with you! The cafe is great for breakfast too, and it's handily located less than 100 yards from the club stand.

  4. I am pleased to advise that the 2 proposed Friday night meal arrangements do not conflict in any way. In fact they are totally complimentary to allow us to cover most of the bases and any weather issues. John is arranging for the BBQ to run early from about 5-00 pm so that the trackdayers can have something to eat before they go home (assuming they are not staying for the sprints). In addition the early start also provides the opportunity for family games for those that want to take part. That then leaves the program clear for the BIGGER and BETTER Gluten Free Dinner which based upon last year started around 7-30 pm As last years attendance was 34 I have taken the liberty to book the pub for 40 consenting attendees! Anyone and everyone is welcome (even if you attended the BBQ earlier) The pub no longer do the Quiz Night so after the meal Mark Bishop has kindly agreed to provide the ENTERTAINMENT! Seriously though folks if any of you play an instrument moderately well or would like to lead a sing song then please feel free to step up to the START LINE once the meal has ended! Kareoke may also be "game for a laugh" does anyone have the equipment? I don't think the pub do but I am sure they will allow us to bring our own if we have some! Marto maybe Rolley will lend us his Marshall Amp? Any other ideas to make the Friday evening go with a real Blyton w/e swing are very much appreciated! Please sign up to this evening of annual merriment by replying to this post and I will start chasing you all for menu choices in the first part of June! Look forward to receiving your tumultuous replies so we not only bust the 34 but also the 40 Many thanks Graham aka Gluten Free

  6. Well yet another great weekend, with some good Craic Fantastic battle with Martin - not sure where I managed to pull that one from, and as Barry said the course was still greasy, so I'm well pleased to have beaten my previous 2011 time by 1.5 secs. Couldn't believe it when I turned up on Friday and Wiscombe was in blanket of fog and rain, but it slowly improved over the weekend. Cheers Barry, Pete and Martin for a weekend to remember. Here's my best run if it works : https://youtu.be/NlWjzTWjuEY

  8. Hopefully. While it's true that these things never last quite so long when they need to be swapped on and off vehicles - specially ones still being built, it should do a good few builders! I'll be upset if it doesn't.

  9. Don't think there's any grub provided on the Saturday (WSCC BBQ on Sunday night?). Not sure if there's anything on-site at night, so bring emergency rations!

  12. I'll keep my fingers crossed it's still around when I get to my IVA then, that'd certainly come in handy if I could borrow it.

  13. Rab, Is this open to last minute decision makers? No plans for anything just now so may just pop in the car and come down with you, Id camp. Any plans for feeding the campers or is it bring your own? Cheers Graeme

  14. It's what many of us do with parts like this. While the standard wheel is attractive enough in it's own way, and many do want to fit them permanently, I'd guess that at least half want to replace it with something bigger, smaller or just more "them". This wheel is for those people! If you want an immaculate standard wheel, as a permanent fit, then those come up regularly too! Though obviously, you'll need to pay for one of those.

  15. Novices (and I am one to be honest!) would really benefit from a few laps with an instructor giving lines/breaking points etc. Doing this on a session only for complete novices is a great idea. In my opinion, this is what Westfields were made to do.

  17. Great spec there Matt, the gearbox upgrade is over £1600 on it's own , it's what a lot of us eventually upgrade to, well I have anyway. Only bad bit is the Paradas , if it's wet
