  1. For the first time in a long while I had to do a decent journey on the M5/6. I was genuinely horrified at the number of youngsters texting or iMessaging or whatever is the current trendy thing to do. And for 10 mins I was followed in a single lane contraflow by a mid 20's lad in his company Audi who looked out his windscreen for about 5% of the distance. So of course I had to spend all my time watching him in my mirror. The difference was I opened up a 100 mtr gap between me and the car in front so I had room to react. He was anywhere between 20 and 2 mtrs away from my boot... No sooner than he got past and then I had a young lady in her baby blue Fiat 500 doing the same. I cannot believe talking on a handsfree is anything near as distracting, mainly cos you dont need to look at the damn phone. Also it must be a generation thing. I love a long drive or flight, being able to switch the phone of for 4 to 6 hrs is great. But today's yoof panic if they dont reply to some inane post about breakfast in 3 seconds. Seriously it has to be stopped. I dont give a rodents postirior if they crash and die, but what of the other poor sods that get mixed up in the carnage. Rant over...

  2. Well after a few months trying to make up my mind if I should build or buy I have now bit the bullet and got myself a lovely zetec powered FW. Thanks for all the advice I had from everyone it really helped in making sure I made the right decision. Looking forward to getting out and about and meeting some of you at various events around the country.

  3. Just to reiterate what Adam said really. We had a great days racing and nice drive to and from the circuit. In the Westy may i add, and after over 10seconds improvement and 2 spins over the day, decided to call it a day about 3pm. Thanks to everyone involved for a brill day out and especially to the organisers for accepting my entry on the day :-)

  4. Just came to post something similar - great to have three Westies as the 3 fastest of the day! I had a few mins spare so bashed together a vid: Congrats to John on his first FTD, well deserved, you're on fire this season! Also thanks to the organisers who put on a good event despite the low entry, and everyone around the paddock who helped make it a top day Great to put some names to faces and see a couple of familiar ones too. More from me after I've filled my belly with tasty Chinese food... PS: Can we start pestering Tigger yet?
