Sound is important for some that is for sure. All Hybrid and full electric cars from 2016 onwards have to be fitted with a sound generator as since they started being driven accidents have increased as blind and also stupid people just step out as there is none of the usual noise associated with transport.
The Tesla is an incredible piece of kit and to be honest as a dyed in the wool petrolhead, I would have one. The range is the only draw back for me as the quoted figures are only if you do not operate the heater, lights, air con etc. If you give it the beans then it is half as much I am reliably informed by an owner.
This will change as Tesla are working on new batteries that will double the range with super fast charging, so go for a coffee and you will have a good charge again.
