  1. I was thinking about joining this morning as it wasn't raining in Leeds, but then it started, and I've got a hood, but no doors or hood frame. So I took my daughter for her first driving lesson. I should have come with you .

  4. We met at The Norfolk Arms, Ringinglow. A lovely country pub with 2 real fires on the go. If we were sane, normal functioning adults we would have ordered a beef dinner each and settled down for a cosy afternoon. But we had invited Rickyboy so that was out then. We were doubled up with laughter, Glen cursing getting in and out of the car 'I can't bend my knees' 'the exhaust is on my side you know' oh funny. Then Richard called us The Traffic Light Gang, red, yellow and green cars. Green is best, it means GO. We have had a crazy day. Following Richard and Liz over to Edale, on to Macclesfield and up to The Cat and Fiddle. We passed some snow, found all the fog and it tipped it down constantly. See - Traffic Lights We even look clean here, we were not I can assure you. I have just spent 2 hours cleaning it all off with Glen. Roads or rivers? Don't look at the big gap in the top left of the picture, I have one my side, it squirts water at you occasionally, well often actually. A very swollen river Manifold where we stopped for a much needed nervous breakdown, oh, I mean coffee. Don't forget The Bumble Bee After finding our rear ends! I led the last bit through Julie's favourite little tunnel at Hulme End and on to Monyash for lunch. Then it was off home to mop the carpets and more laughing. I definitely would have cancelled today so thank you to Ricky and Freya for forcing us out and to Richard and Liz for joining in. It is a day we will laugh about for a long time to come.

  8. Once a final conclusion on the pad choice between entirely new/re-lined backing plates etc, this thread will make a great FAQ for an annoyingly grey area. Keep it up lads, great work so far!

  10. Had my car wrapped yesterday by a 3M approved fitter and he said heating the second time is one of the most important things people don't do. Not required all over, but on parts where you have shaped it/stretched etc. First heating when pulling/stretching gives it the shape, then the second heating resets the vinyls memory. He said if I removed the vinyl carefully now from my nose cone it woukd still be in the shape of it! He recommends 3M 1080 series vinyl as it is automotive grade, Dy-noc is not automotive grade and is much thicker. He said it's fine for use on flat panels but any shaped panels will be much better done in 1080. Also there is no need to use water at all now with modern decent brand vinyls, as they all have air release technology to remove bubbles etc.
