Our Westy was collected today by an Italian transporter company, an eight car articulated transporter. And our Westy was in good company, for on this carriage were four other cars. A 1950's Jaguar roadster, which could only be described as a hedgerow find!! A silver 356 Porsche coupe in beautiful condition, a Porsche 964 Carrera 2 also in excellent condition and an little old MG midget. It was my first experience of driving a car onto the top deck of a car transporter, too!!

I really like the contrasting arches. I know taste is a very personal thing, but I think the single block of colour at the back makes the car look a bit "Kim Cardashian" So having the contrast keeps the body style "long and thin" Buttercup looks brill...

@Clan McWesty, early indications appear to suggest that this route is (1) a bit too soon to arrange route/timings/accommodation and (2) a bit close to Stoneleigh and ApplecrosS to do another long weekender! So, as a group, let's keep this one for our next planned northern Scottish run and just stick to the Sunday this time around.

Well I had my arches painted by Bogg Brothers and I am really happy with the result. They have done a fantastic job for me. I think it really suits Buttercup.
