  2. Mine got through with 3" FIA harnesses. It depends on your seats if they don't fit through the holes in the seat without folding over then they will fail. If the holes are 3" or more you will pass And that was straight from the IVA testers mouth

  3. I Have old Willans 3" race harnesses. Not sure anout them. Planning on buying playskool jobs. Rather than take a chance thought I'd go for guaranteed pass option. (On mobile after pub So pls excuse typing!)

  5. Grind 'em down. 2mm. is nothing to be worried about, as long as the wheel nuts go fully on to the studs. File around the stud ends to give is smooth taper else the nuts are pain to start off by hand when re-fitting.

  6. I'd be grinding 2mm of your current wheel bolts. Surely the strength of grip between the bolts and the wheel hub is held in the surfaces of the screw thread??

  8. I've got a slightly marked set of those in black, as my build wheels. Might have to get them refurbed if I know they're in demand!

  11. Yep definitely Qualifiers. Stopped making 'em 11 or 12 years ago. Were Westfield standard wheels c. 2000

  12. They look like Team Dynamics Qualifiers? Obsolete, rocking horse manure and really suit the car - so you gotta make them fit!

  13. Option 3 would be my first choice, then option 2…I don't suggest option 4.. Just my thoughts, but others will advise...

  16. Bit late now, you've sorted it, sorry ...but, had a very similar issue after fitting an ECU to a previously clockwork car. There was enough current coming out of the alternator warning light feed/bootstrap terminal to hold the main ignition switched relay on...whcih then maintained power to the ECU etc. Like yourself, just fitted a simple blocking diode in the warning light feed.

A big thank you to all who contributed, Yet another great read, But come on we need more members to send in what they have been up to, and even some fellow Ao's need to step up to the plate..........This is probably where i should moderate myself....as wise man said "push the keyboard away"....

  22. The Areas have very flexible borders. You can meet up with any area you wish or any member you like. Julie (onecarefulowner) has made an area for herself and regularly has a few other members in tow, for her tours around Derbyshire. No reason why you can't put up a Post in Meets and Events if you fancy a your own tours and see who answers your call. Down south us Essex Boyz knock about with Cambs, Kent. and North London fellas. Have a look at the Member Map and see who is around you.

  23. I definitely recommend premium membership. Not a lot extra for what you get. I wouldn't go back to being a standard member

  24. Bob, the business use is something I actually asked for, after finding out the sort of cover I need wasn't automatically included with A Plan, whereas a more expensive other insurer had covered me for that sort of commuting. I often work on site at clients houses, in the Peaks, in the Chester/N. Wales region and other lovely spots. I'll normally do a thousand miles or so like that of a summer
