  2. Hi all, Many of you may know that I failed my IVA on emissions last month. Since then I have replaced and tested many parts on the fuel system (gaskets, MAF sensor, coolant sensor, injectors, O2 sensor, FPR etc etc etc), finishing yesterday with fitting an extra cat into the exhaust link pipe (there is already one in the silencer). My CO at IVA was 0.4% and after testing yesterday it is now down under the limit. After running the engine at 2500rpm for 30-40 secs and looking at the live data readout, the CO dropped down to 0.079 and was still dropping - chuffed isn't the word and I will be straight onto VOSA tomorrow to book a retest! Thanks to everyone who helped, especially those who gave me advice over PM. Shaun

  9. I hadn't realised quite how many weeks had past since my last update but since Chrismas I've largely been trying to get the fit of the bodywork right so there hasn't been a great deal of progress to show. Once I was happy with the position of the body on the chassis the first task was to open up the holes where the suspension arms pass through to give them enough clearance for the suspension movement. I lost track of how many times the body ws taken on and off to do this and plenty of blue dust was created in the process The final task was then to fit the Dzus 1/4turn fasteners that hold everything together. So this is where I'm up to as of today Last month I dropped off my seat buck to John Danby Racing who made the wishbones for me. They'll be using my original buck to produce a new mould and then a New GRP shell seat for the car. I'm going for a shell seat rather than the original padded vinyl as firstly it'll be easier to keep clean and dry, but also secondly the padded seat is quite snug even for my racing snake frame.

  10. John, That's a great example for anyone who fancies competing, it's not always about winning your class etc, it's about your sense of achievement when you see you are getting better. Then just building on that, it's part natural ability and part learned. Keep up the good work

  12. Ok here goes still a bit of a nooby at photos as they all seem too small but here goes size isn't everything. Lets see what they are like Bob They seem ok, showing rear brace attachment then the new base and corner support. Clansman like the choice of style and colour for the pads , same as mine.
