  3. Hi everybody Well i wont lie, Its been a very hard 6 months or so the westfield and the owners club have been neglected and thrown on the back burner with what happened. I feel ashamed for my behaviour but Its all been for the new venture in finding myself a new home for me and my son (and the only lady in my life the westy) As you all said along with everyone else "It will be ok, everything happens for a reason, theres light at the end of the tunnel etc etc etc" Well I hate being proven wrong and i have been, as of October i was divorced and by November i managed to get myself back on the property ladder and have spent the last two months working every available hour to get the house decorated to somewhere near where i would like it to be! Me and the lad should be moving in next month all being well! Oh and as you all said "dont sell the westy try your hardest too keep it" you will be pleased to know shes still mine and my new home has a rather nice brick kennel for my animal! so alls well that ends well All thats left for me too say firstly is thankyou for all your advice and support last year, ive not met you all but some real friends on here! Secondly a big sorry for the neglect to the club and especially the Manchester meet, ive not seen them since Stoneleigh. Now my heads out my A**e ill be making my way back to the meets as soon as i can (If u will take me back?) Regards Scott P.s Happy New Year

  4. The main thing I learnt about minno's (and possibly clubmans) is that they should accommodate wide westies (potentially even wide track ones) however those running small wheel offsets could sometimes mean they won't fit. In such cases people have opted to have a spare set of wheels/tyres just for trailer loading. I guess this is fine for relatively infrequent use but it would get my goat for anything more. Probably best to arrive at any viewing arrived with your measurements rather than a best guess approach Brian James seems to be the merc of trailers, PRG are also well regarded. I don't think others should necessarily be discounted e.g woodford.. HTH

  6. I see some old dogs on the way to the pub today and I walked. You don't have to live near Woburn to see the wildlife

  8. I recall looking at that, but to be honest, thought it looked too generic and left critical gaps in everything bar fluids.* (I was assuming at the time, that Adam being Adam, was doing a whole host of weekly/frequent checks that just weren't included on the schedule. Which is OK if you're as methodical and thorough as Adam, BUT, if you're not sure what to do, and not doing the regular checks, the schedule above gives no clue about them!)

  10. Hi I'm new here so be gentle.... The Sr2 is mine. After having it on the road for 2 yrs decided I needed a power upgrade. I looked at the options and decided on a supercharger. Richard (Redseven engineering) offered to do the machining bits and working out how to fit it as a project. He has done a superb job and compliments the car. On first set up using Canems ECU we made 214bhp and 187lb/ft of torque. Next job was to set a high power setting and a lower power setting. Low for normal driving approx 190 bhp, and high as Kamikaze setting for track use. Expecting 240bhp based on initial mapping. I can assure you this is not optimistic, and engine is completely standard. I had a major issue with the engine as mentioned which was my fault. So new engine being fitted this weekend. Once I have it in, and all set I'll try to post some piccies and rolling road graphs... Pretty impressive for a 1.8 though. This will be one very rapid car. A real testimony to Richards engineering skills

  12. Bit of an update.... Fingers x'd I'll be collecting the car next week, after I've watched it being mapped (yeh I'm excited !) Not sure wether to go the carbon dash route now though Received a few pics from Troy at N.motorsport earlier, thought I would share them, really pleased with the tunnel fettling they have done as the BGH type 9 sits further forward than the mt75 Not sure about the Quaife gear knob, it might grow on me... New Jenvey throttle bodies with Bosch injectors New Westfield carbon 6.5 silencer being fitted to New Raceline 4-1 manifold
