  1. I'm just tipsy enough to admit I had a lump in my throat listening to my old mate roar! Mind you, I've had a run of questions by text, getting ever more "dotting I's and crossing T's" in content, so I wasn't too surprised to know it was running.

  9. More that Dave got a very over-excited phone call from me shortly after the first video, where I put the phone to the TB's so the reinvigorated XE could have a chat with its builder The surprise had gone for Dave by the time this post was made! Thanks once again Mart, your a gent and a legend and I look forward to everything this season of sprinting has to offer This definitely goes down as a great day in my books!

  10. Good news I will hopefully be joining you soon as just ordered the last parts to build a 'sister' engine. I just could not resist more revs from moving to solid lifters.

  13. I got the definite feeling you fall into quite a different category insurance wise when you exceed a certain level. As part of the planning and during the build of mine, I spoke to A Plan a number of times. Although the cost was fine, due to an unusual combination of issues too long and boring to detail here, talking with A Plan, we realised the only companies that would cover my Mega S2000, all demanded a minimum of a CAT2 immobiliser. (that's after them initially demanding a CAT1 alarm - till A Plan explained to them how silly that was on a Westfield!) Still, by finding out early, at least it meant the immobiliser could be built in from the start.
