  5. Yes from me, golf type with the wind proof top vents.

  6. Think I need one Seriously I think each Speed Series competitor should have one as part of the entry fee for next season, I defo wouldn't mind paying the extra and the paddock would be alive with Wscc logos when I'm competing :d

  7. Yes, if they are the 'golf' type umbrellas that have a layered section to allow wind through so they don't just flip over!

  8. 135 to 145 mph then car engine in the region of 250 bhp plus and gearbox ratio’s to get you to that speed in a decent time that is IMO. Don’t know about BEC’s but someone will. Don’t forget Westfields have the aerodynamics of a brick at the speeds your looking for, you might have to consider this. I can get to 115 to 120 on some of the longer strights with no problems with 2.0 car engine 195bhp MT75 box and 3.62 diff. Anything above that and would need a heck of a long stright with following wind and a big hill. Others are going quicker than me but differant set up so I think you need to choose carefully. Terry

  9. That's the way to do it... If Frazer's car needs the carpets out and an aeroscreen to get it 'just right' it wouldn't be hard to do.

  10. Chris, I can't suggest which car is best for you, I think you need to take some time to see all 3. There's a lot of us amateur Track day heros that could benefit from your experience, so I hope your up for it when you have found the right car. There is a couple of us that want to got to Spa as well next year.

  11. Agreed!Donny is drive by noise (induction often louder than exhaust for these cars), Croft ia usually 88 I thought, with few 105 'noisy' days? Either way, they both seem to be great cars, try and see them both?

  12. Thinking very seriously about this event. Bit further for me than Pembrey but worth the effort. My liver may not agree with my head. Ground sheet, drip tray and cement dust already packed in the motorhome.

  13. "OK so we totally didn't go anywhere near Ca**ington Water but not to worry we will get there another time. Thank you to Richard (Tricky) and Liz, John and Jackie, Barry and Andrew and Richard (Bioman) and Liz for coming out today. I must thank my hubby Glen for being as nutty as me and jumping in the Westfield on such a dodgy weather day. A lack of Westfields but it was no less of a day as the company was just brilliant and a great laugh. Flanked by the tin tops." You had to do the manly woman type thingy and do the Westy today now your A.O. its your duty. Was much warmer and drier than in recent weeks for me. Good to see folks out and about even though weather was very average first thing, it made a pleasant if a bit chilly afternoon, plus the scenery was at its green best after all the rain. (Even managed to get 24.7 mpg) lol. Thanks for the kind comments Rich

  14. "Sorry Scottish Bloke but i can't see how you can say Nico is a true sportsman when he deliberatly rammed his own team mate and admitted it, and it don't include the other stunt he pulled on that run off So no respect from me but full respect to Lewis for not lamping him one at the time. Its a shame because he is a good driver, and its sad that he had to resort to dirty tricks to try and win. It will be an even better team when Nico decides to be a real part of it. Just my opinion of course" I didn't actually hear Nico say he 'intentionally rammed Lewis', maybe I missed that and/or was it taken in context. What I did see and hear was Nico, a man who came so close to Winning a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP congratulate his team mate moments after Lewis won and he gracefully lost. Just my opinion of course.

  15. If the engine sounds quiet and has no tappet or big end noise you may be lucky and get away with it. Hopefully someone else will inform you about the oil level with oil cooler but in general its better to have too much that too little oil. The Pinto also blows oil through the filler cap or crankcase breather so keep an eye on levels when you give it some welly
