For those lovers of a different era of motorsport, there's a documentary on legendary Jim Clark on Sunday. 10pm BBC4. Listed as "a Portrait of..." Style program, with lots of footage. It follows "Hunt v Lauda: F1's Greatest Racing Rivals" at 9 pm on the same channel.

Thinking very seriously about this event. Bit further for me than Pembrey but worth the effort. My liver may not agree with my head. Ground sheet, drip tray and cement dust already packed in the motorhome.

Yep I'd go with that, much better to do something now rather than risk oil loss or the studs getting pulled out of the block from an impact - neither will have a happy ending! Not sure where you'd get an alloy short sump from these days though, might be worth a call to John Wilcox.
