  1. Thanks Sootysport I had a lengthy conversation with Chris at BGH earlier & at the end of it, I ordered an E6 type 9 Waiting time is 3-4 weeks, just looking forward to driving it now after the mt75 box.

  2. Hmmm, A certain member, and serial car builder, caught "in discussion" with Simon! (Si is on the right) Note the body language, the "oh My God, what've I done" type laugh, the hands suddenly thrust deep into the pockets, (been there done that, desperately trying not to reach for the debit card or let Simon get a pen in your hand), the "A Ha!" look on Simon's face, and worse still, the pen that magically appears in his hand out of no where...

  3. Glad to hear you all enjoyed it too, the whole team looked like they were having a good time! And very welcoming everyone was too: Looks like good attendance numbers as well:

  4. Meeting at The Strines Inn 11am. Going over the A57 Snake Pass to Glossop before Buxton and the high road to Blaze Farm for lunch. Back through the Peak District calling at The Ramblers Inn, Edale to finish at The Strines Inn before dark. Tricky is not invited because he will be too busy fixing the camera on his phone, it seems to be taking false pictures of non careful lady owners! It will be difficult to keep up with the fun provided by Tricky last weekend i.e. tyre squealing on near vertical left handers but we will give it a go. Come and join us, all welcome.

  6. If you get the other panels done in gloss they will show scuffs much more than the satin finish Graig ...Could you get some rubber with a larger return on the inner where it is sandwiched between the chassis and the panels , or perhaps affix it to the chassis solidly so it does not pull out as you suggest . Perhaps try woolies for the rubber . You could always start by upgrading to a Carbon tunnel top lol !!

  7. Afraid I can't help with the question, I'm sure James "the mighty x flow" will be along soon, but boy is that car PURPLE or what? Love it! A new "Purple Throbber" perhaps?

  11. I totally agree, it was great to see so many people miling around the factory. I seemed to spend most of my time talking to MX5 builders/potential builders and owners! Maybe it should be an annual event?

  12. Well done to all at WSC Ltd for an excellent open day, and my thanks to the large number of members and AOs who attended as well. The place was fairly rammed and they did the club proud on many fronts, especially demolishing the buffet. Great that the club and WSC have such a good relationship these days that we can share our passion - I thank you all.

  13. I'd just like to give my thanks to Julian, Simon, Mark, Kyle, Gary, Hanna and all the other Westfield people I didn't meet today but who, I sure, worked just as hard to make today's open day such a tremendous success. Great day, well organised, informative, and the lunch wasn't bad either! Thanks again.
