  1. Here's a few vids from last Friday's Trackaction day at Cadwell. First one, chasing after Matt Noss in his Megabusa, followed by a bit behind a fairly rapid Porsche Cayman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ECj4imuUeQ Next up, following a pal in an R1 Striker, till he had a fairly major off into the tyre wall. He and the car survived remarkably well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mt9VV1czuXU And last, trying to get a chase going with a Busa powered Locost. I had to bale out when he had a little wobble heading into the mountain section. (Very similar to a bale out manoeuvre I had with Cleggy at Blyton. ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DofcXHRGMw

  2. 2001 Westfield Megabusa Turbo Road Registered but Race Ready (Needs nothing to compete.) I’ve been racing my beloved Westy for 7 years with SEMSEC and of late BARC in the Sevenesque series, due to work commitments I have decided to part with her (Not an easy decision) I did 3 seasons with her in normally aspirated trim and managed to win the SEMSEC Overall Club Championship in 2010, with 11 wins and 3 seconds out of 14 races, best lap on treaded tyres round Brands Hatch was a respectable 52.3 seconds with 165hp at the tyres. I then decided to up my game and turbo charged her. Initially I had gearbox problems after I fitted a Quaife gear set, but after ditching that and using an Extreme Engines modified Suzuki set, she’s been as good as gold. I have dyno printouts for 310hp at 10psi of boost, she is happy at about 1 bar though, which should equate to around 350hp. The engine is built to the same spec as the motorcycle drag racing boys with 600hp. Of late she’s done the Birkett, with a lap of 2.19 round the Silverstone GP Circuit and had a second and a win at Rockingham in May, then Brands Hatch in July she had 3 thirds, best lap 51.3 seconds. The best lap I’ve had round Brands on (old) slicks was a 50.5, I know the car is capable of a sub fifty lap and I’m devastated not to have achieved it! With 350hp and around 530kg’s this is a blisteringly fast car, footage of her in action can be seen on Youtube under Steve Garner In the time I have raced the Westfield she has never been in any kind of impact or crash, she has however picked up the usual battle scars and chips associated with racing, I have decided to tidy the car up but will not be spraying or re-bodying her, this is reflected in the price I am hoping for. I am prepared to arrange a trackday at Brands Hatch for genuine parties that can prove some sort of previous experience. I am also prepared to give support to the new owner (for a sum to cover my expenses) to get them going. Chassis. 5. Give it a good go and see how you get on its easier to do than to write about, but as long as you know the options, its always worth considering them when deciding on a repair path. You still have a few left so all isn't lost. Let us know how you get on. Bob

  7. Yes it came from Aerodynamix - I am not sure you will be able to convince Julian to do another one though! I sent him a Westfield crashpad with all the vinyl and adhesive stripped off, and then he carbonised it!
