  1. Well an update. As I said the police were following up a lead, it was one I gave them. After the burglary I cleaned up and then went on the local stolen goods forum (gumtree) and then ebay more in hope and something to do. So you can imagine how surprised I was to see two of my watches in the six watch case for sale at a Bristol pawn brokers. As one of these was a limited edition of just 200 and they had helpfully photographed the serial number of the one I had it was an easy I called the police again who came out and checked the serial numbers and this morning they have seized the goods and following that arrested a girl who sold them to the shop. So unless she is built like a Russian shot putter I suspect she was not the one who broke in, but it is a start.

  4. Don't be daunted. I didn't know my right arm from a steering arm when I started. Or are they still the same thing Go through the build step by step and if unsure simply post a question up on here. Loads of us have experienced the same issues and you'll normally get a quick response

  9. It's not an Escort master cylinder. It's from a Mk3 cortina NON SERVO and you'll do well to find either a new one or a seal kit. A chap up north had some when I needed one although it was expensive. I'll try to dig out the details for you tonight. Edit: Details on my thread on the same subject here: http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/99063-brake-master-cylinder-id/

  11. Ignore her full stop. Throw away anything that lands of your side immediately. If she asks where the football is, reply "what football?" and deny all knowledge. Failing that, I have many ways to get revenge that a club chairman cannot say on a public forum.

  12. Spend 90p on a football, give it to the kid, that should completely flummox the daft cow

  13. Ignore them, if they don't get a reaction for a few weeks, they'll move on to someone else... Which is when you plan your revenge!
