  1. I love this car, but after 4 trips to Le Mans, and one to Tuscany, I know I need more luggage space. I thought of adding a tow ball, but I'm looking for a Triumph Stag now. This car has never been on a Track, and has done an average of 3000 per year since IVA. The engine seems bullet proof, and the gearbox is a joy (Vastly better than Ford). Dark Green body, Black fittings, unmarked Team Dynamics Pro-Race gloss black 7J wheels with Toyo 195/50 R15 tyres fitted in 2011, Thatcham II Alarm, 2 sets of keys, 2 12v sockets for Sat Nav. or wine cooler (!) etc., black Tonneau, green hood and sidescreens, EBC Yellow brake pads. Kit purchased in 2007, factory finished and IVA-ed in Dec 2010. Please call 07711 450221 for more info. Agreed value insurance of £7,500. Asking £6,990. Please see photos of this car in my Gallery.

  2. I know there was a recent meet based out of Forres which I only heard about at the last minute. Anyway because there are relatively few Westies up here and there are a few Caterhams kicking about, I know of 3 in Moray (not including Highland Caterham Hire) I thought setting up a Facebook site North of Scotland Sevens could be a good conduit to get pan marque interest and involvement. Just set it up this morning so lets see how it goes Steve

  3. Went out for a quiet putter this evening..... there I was, sat on the left door sill quietly munching my fish and chips when a little lad of about 7 maybe 8 with mum and dad in tow saunters up and says "Told ya Dad, it's not a Seven Superlight...... it's one of them daft Westfields with a motorbike engine" Well his parents looked like they were looking for a suitable hole to swallow them up...... so I saved them...... I started the ASBO up and asked if he's ever heard a 4 litre V8 before, then mentioned to his parents that it's perfectly acceptable to eat your young...... animals do it all the time...... His dad just grinned and dragged the little gem back to the chippy......

  4. Somebody passed me today in a yellow one, with black stripes. Wonder if he knew he was within a mile of another westie hiding in a garage.

  11. September got off to a good start with ten or so westfield, caterham and other sevenesque type cars at the, sunny!, reverse direction knockhill last night including one other crossflow to keep my prisoner rep company. I have to admit the clamshell wings did look a bit out of place in the race replica company but for a first knockhill outing, on 4 wheels, going the wrong way round was a hoot! No sign of the dreaded aerodynamic lift from the wings, maybe I wasn't going fast enough. I have a thing about not swapping out the classic crossflow for quick gains but being blasted by tin tops down the straight is a pain. Need more power! I think I'll swap over to the tech forum for advice.

  12. Gluten, My pleasure mate. Once we knew you were OK and the banter had subsided it was the only option to make something of the day for you. Not enough people have experienced the sheer power of the 8v push rod engine - if you have a stiff neck today that will be down to the acceleration of my car. Yours in Motorsport James

  15. Hi Folks Car is worse off than me but hoefully not as bad as last time! Thanks for all the support and help after the event A very special vote of thanks to James Alexander for allowing to use his car in a dual drive so at least I could get some points on the board! What a totally different experience in the Mighty Cross Flow Thanks again James G Free
