  1. I'm lucky to live in a very nice village that on a sunny day is stuffed full of tourists. I also have an old school (I call it a friendly style) Westie, clamshells, a bit scruffy, makes old fashioned noises... Yesterday I went for a potter through the village and got nothing but smiles, waves, pictures taken etc. There was a bus load of Japanese tourists getting off outside the Horse and Hound and their eyes were nearly popping out. The icing on the cake was the little lad who shouted loud enough to hear, "Daddy, buy one NOW" It really does make me feel good and convinces me buying a silly old car that some nutter obviously built in a shed was the right thing to do..!

  3. I'm really sorry to hear this scott. I go along with the others, If there's half a chance of keeping the Westfield do so. If not stick it up for between £8,500 and 10K, and hold out for the best price. Good luck for the future, and remember your not divorcing us, we are here for you.

  4. How do we do it?? Maybe a drop of rain on the way there but nothing at Flamborough and nothing on the way back. Bloomin' windy though! Went via the scenic route on the way there, nice spot to park up at the holiday park although we had a longer than expected walk back into the village for shrimps and crabs (£6 each!), nice pint of Adnams, collected £32 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and had a great drive home. SteveL made a C2C of it. Why?? His fishmonger in Lytham St Annes sell his crabs from - yes you've guessed it - from Bridlington - but at twice the price!! Crackin' day and hope Steve, Julie and Glen, Richard Marsh, Chris Shaw and Barry Wilson enjoyed it as much as I did and got home safely.

  5. Sorry to hear this There's more for sale currently so not good time to get best price. It also appears to me that recently some excellent cars purchased for peanuts but some quite awful ones rediculous money.

  6. If you go for a drive round London, all the tourists cameras turn on to you instead of the landmarks, made my passenger daughter laugh.

  7. Some sound advice... When buying your westy DO NOT justify the money to be spent by saying "it's Perfect". You lose the need (and excuses) to be in the garage. Have daughters. The " I need male company to save my masculinity" is an easy one to use. Encourage the watching of Coronation/Enders St and how important to keep up with the plots. Plan delivery of parts when you Know no-one will be in the house. This stops the "not another Rover part- how much did that cost?" Put all events on a wall calendar well in advance with the "thinking of going to..." comment. She cannot therefore argue that "you never told me you were going out all day" Choose more events than you could hope to do. And finally, GET THE HOOVER OUT THE DAY BEFORE WITHOUT BEING ASKED!!!
