  1. Chaps, After a few weeks of pottering about on the forum, just wanted to say it's the best I've ever been a member of. The combination of a really good search and the way members post information makes it really easy to find information without cranking up a new thread, which is normal behaviour on most forums. And the way folks post is really decent, sometimes there might be a difference of opinion but instead of descending into a flame war, folk just make their points with a decent level of humour and move on. So many thanks for making this place a really helpful and fun place to hang around.

  2. OMG what crazy day, we've had torrential rain and brilliant hot sunshine, a dryish track for first practise to tip toeing around in standing water for P2. We should have had a P3 but a marshall got injured when a MK1 Lotus Cortina came off on the final corner and hit him before ending up in the tyre wall, then a long stoppage while the air ambulance attended the marshall who thankfully was not seriously hurt, a broken elbow we were told. T1 was on a wet but drying track and finally T2 was just dry before the rain came again as everyone loaded up for home. A few offs for some of the Westfield drivers but no serious damage thankfully, I'll leave Tel to fill you all in with his blog. The day started well for me with a 55.32 P1( my previous pb was 63.58 in the wet ) P2 62.05, T1 60.22 and finished with an unbelievable 53.03 for T2, so I'm a very happy bunny knocking over ten seconds off my pb the silver bullet is flying Sorry about the weather today guy's, it just follows me

  6. The road was soaking for 3 or 4 miles north of the Cromarty bridge, must have been one of those heavy showers that were forecast, but not a drop fell on me all day which mist have been some sort of miracle given the forecast during the week Did about 200 miles, mostly in bright sunshine Must do it again sometime.

  7. There has been one or two heated discussion threads in the past, nothing malicious though. As you say John, we do move on. I've been around here for 3 years now, learnt a lot about kit cars and re learnt all about driving and maintaining a Rear wheel drive car after a 30 year gap. Great to get back to 'Seat of Your Pants' driving again.
