  1. Just wanted to say how much my son and I have enjoyed the speed series weekend. Fantastic weather again, (burnt again). Brilliant motorsport 5 runs in total Saturday and 4 today (Sunday). Enjoyable light hearted evenings (drunk again and hungover slightly again) although almost managed to avoid the vodka jelly, just a great atmosphere. Thanks to Nick for asking us to help with the start line duties it made a change and you don't get much of a break on there but wasn't at all boring even though we lined up well over a thousand starts over the 2 days. I hope everyone taking part and the track day Friday too enjoyed it as much as we did! Pity it can't be twice a year like some of the other events, right off to get the sweeping brush surgically removed after all the sweeping away of stones that's gone on. Thanks again all involved, Rich.

  3. Nothing serious, just took our time getting up there and had a few more stops than planned; it was such a lovely day. Top of Glenshee was stunning. Route home through Crief, Pitlochry, Sma' Glen with some fabulous 'spirited' sections!!

  5. What a great introduction to sprinting! Absolutely brilliant weekend, great venue, great people and the most fun I've had in a long while (despite my not-so-mighty woes). New friends and a reminder of what a fantastic club this is. Thank you all for the support and advice, and of course for keeping me going after each run today! I'll be back next year without a doubt, there's definitely a few more seconds to come!! Special thanks to James (alexander72) for the trailer loan - that turned out to be critical! And to Martin (marto303) for everything he did to get me there & keep me going, GF for the bolts & the Friday organisation and Matt/Keith for the advice and blowing my mind with the passenger ride! And as said before, everyone else too for being a top bunch. And especially the scrutineer who earnt himself a new nickname and will think twice before examining helmets in future....!

  6. Here's some pics: Lined up at Halbeath awaiting the arrival of some Fife se7eners to join us. View from the cafe. Another view from the cafe. Hornet600 speaking to his Mammy, telling her that he'll no be home for tea cos it's so nice out, he's going to stay out and play longer! So, here's the rain soaked Scotland that the Met Office figured for today .. .. not! Comfort stop at the Sma' Glen.

  13. And many thanks from Chris and me too. Truly excellent event; thanks due to Nick, Jane, Jane, and all the rest of the team. I don't know who sold his/her soul to ensure the weather, but I'm impressed. Also, big thanks to Matt, Keith, Terry and others who rallied round (as the speed series crowd always does) to help us solve our fuelling problem on Saturday morning. David
