  1. My slowly progressing build started in 2011 and since then my experiences have been similar to others with a mix of great next day service and communication along with frustrating long waits occasionally. I made a large order on the website over the bank holiday for a fuel tank with associated filler kit and outlets etc, a steering rack, nose grille and Mazda 4-1 manifold. All these were marked as in stock. I was pleased to receive an email this morning before 9am from Jeff in parts. Unfortunately the steering rack and all the fuel related parts are out of stock and won't be available for 4-6 weeks. Although obviously disappointed that core parts like steering rack and fuel tank are not stock items, (makes you wonder how they are building cars without them) I am pleased that Jeff promptly told me there would be a delay and offered me a refund on these parts. I've left the money with them, my choice, and will have to hope that the delay estimate is accurate. This is a good case of WSC limiting the damage by good and prompt communication, let's hope it continues.

  2. +1 and have to agree here. I do not wish to rain on their parade or get into a blame game towards anyone at all But whatever the issue is, this most definitely needs sorting. Even our little old boardroom Store has stock level settings for anything you buy directly from the club, i.e. Blyton packages, etc. and shows "Out Of Stock" when it runs out. Please guys, we want to buy from you whenever we can, but it would be helpful if it showed correct stock levels and if out of stock, the estimated lead time. I can't imagine it's much fun calling the customer who ordered in good faith to tell them it's not in stock, and the resources to do that and to process refunds afterwards must take valuable time. We'll understand if you just tell us up front.

  4. Just wanted to say thank yo to Mark and John at Wunoff, especially in the light of the poor service being reported from Westfield. Ordered a 6" repackable exhaust from them, price confirmed and paid by bank transfer. Exhaust turns up 48 hours later with 'standard' Westfield link pipe. Silencer fits a treat but link pipe has the wrong bend radius. E mail to Wunoff at 10.30 pm, read by them at 06.19 the following morning, phone call at 08.00 to discuss the issue. New link pipe arrived in the post the following morning, all fitted and sorted. Rang Mark to find charge for the new link pipe only to be told not to worry, all part of their service. It has to be said the quality of the exhaust matches their customer service, both first class. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Mark & John, many thanks. Ian

  5. Guys, Sorry if I have stirred up a hornets nest, all I wanted to do was express an opinion. As a Fleet Sales Manager for a Volkswagen dealership I know how important customer service and response times are and Wunoff, as an engineering company are first class at it. They put a lot of companies to shame and I wasn't wanting to pick on Westfield who already seem to be getting a real kicking, all I was trying to do as point out that anyone looking to invest a fair amount of hard earned cash could do a great deal worse than look this company up. I am sure there must be other companies out there that are equally as good and if so good luck to them as they deserve to succeed, in this country we are quick to pick fault but slow to praise. Well done Wunoff, hope you continue to succeed where others have failed. Ian

  6. Westfield do not provide a shabby service. You are comparing apples with pears. Yes Wunoff are great guys and provide a great service but all they do is connect stainless pipes and cans together. For a truck or a Westy - it's just a matter of scale. How many parts do Westfield stock - I've no idea - maybe a couple of thousand?? And each and every one is provide by an outfit like Wunoff with the exception of course of the frames, suspension and bodywork. Please be reasonable

  7. Well I got the last 2 tyres done and they lined up the marks........ Guess what? I know have 2 weights TOTAL on each of those two wheels and the other two have a whole ring of them around the inside!!! Same wheels, same tyre's, the second pair fitted properly. Amazing what they can do when they try! Now i'm wondering if it worth going somewhere else and getting the first two done again.......

  10. yeh i did think that when i typed it , not really a hate campaigne more summat that should really be done with the licence thing imho ,bit like a cbt for motorcyclists ,if your using the road you should have a licence so you can be held responsible for our actions and receive points and fines , what would of happened yesterday if the car behind me hit me after i braked to avoid the cyclist or i swerve and hit a car coming the other way ,cyclist carry's on his way and does not stop after causing a accident he cannot be punished because he has no licence or insurance , so simple cyclist take a test ,have insurance and carry a small numberplate on the frame which stays with the owner/rider for life the plate wont be needed for anpr or speed cameras obviously but there for the police and incase of accidents ,simple that way they are held responsible ,the same as other road users , and just ban horses from the road ,job done can you imagine the job im going to have getting the money out of johny muppet who hit me coming the wrong way over the bridge to pay for my front clam repairs if he had a licence and insurance and had a number plate it would be easy as i would have his details now and reported the accident and be claiming of his insurance

  12. Reshape the bar is the best bet. If the bar's pushing out spring like too much it will ut pressure on the captive nuts and possibly damage the seat when you sit on it. I can't reccomend the welded captive nuts enough though! 2 minutes and seats out!
