  2. x-flows are very good engines if set up right and looked after - very well suited to 7 style cars…. and they are very mighty and often quicker than many modern engined cars

  4. No, that's not what we're saying - to repeat: Which by definition also means "may not". Any bulk buy purposed by a member would be judged on its merits by the Committee on an individual basis. Glad you're aware of the reason (there's about a dozen reasons, actually), which we have covered extensively in the past and not going to rehash. However, they do stop it being publicised on the forum if we think it may put the members or the club at risk or disadvantage in any fashion. We have a clear responsibility and duty of care to our members. If members wish to go "off radar" and have a BB entirely through the PM system, that's their prerogative and it's a case of caveat emptor, but any reference to unapproved BBs in the forums would be moderated. Interesting, but that was eight years ago and on a different forum, and the overall value is not the point. Now then, this thread is not about BBs, it's about car lifts. If you have a solid and valid proposal for a car lift BB, bring it to the Committee. Until then, let's get back on topic please.

  5. Well I'm not twelve months into ownership yet and my first winter, in fact ownership of my Westfield has been very contagious of a thing called 'UPGRADITIS"; all new owners you've been warned I took ownership last June and already had plans before taking delivery, so had started ordering parts in preparation and of course no thanks to the helpful folks on here with all the useful threads advising where I could spend my money . First couple of weeks of ownership I added the following: Silver racing strip, carbon wheel arch protectors, oil catch tank, 3/4 size front plate, smaller headlamps and fairing indicators on the front nose cone; in addition to the above, the bodywork received a full machine polish and copious amounts of wax. So she ended up looking like this - So a couple of months passed and I knew I wanted to fit an aeroscreen and a D shape steering wheel. Thanks to Areodynamix, and a couple of forum members, I soon had these items fitted. So with a summers use under my belt which included a couple of track days, plans for the winter upgrade were made.......... TBC

  6. I know, I understand. I'm thinking maybe the "rules" haven't been written clearly enough, or perhaps someone's misunderstanding has been spread and taken as gospel? For the record though. if ANYONE is thinking of organising a bulk buy and the supplier doesn't want to sign up as a trader, please, drop me a PM, or email to Cheshire@wscc.co.uk or call me on 07769 908575 to discuss it and I will be more than happy to circulate it to the rest of the committee. (I'm sure all the other committee members would say the same if they were on hand). The BB rules aren't there for any sinister reason, just to protect club members, especially the club member actually organising the BB!
