  1. Just wondered what folks opinion was of the Half cage now available from Westfield? I appreciate that the half cage potentially only gives you half the protection of the full but it looks to be more sturdy than the current RAC roll bar fitted to my Westfield?? My concern with the RAC bar is that the struts which are bolted to the roll bar would shear under stress being a potential weakness??? I'm not technically minded with regards to the strengths of metals and bolts so would appreciate your thoughts? After doing a couple of track days this year, I'm now addicted and plan to do a lot more next year, along with maybe entering a couple of speed series events next season, well with living only a few miles from Prescott it would be rude not too

  3. Easy. Jumping into a swollen river to rescue a child when I couldn't swim myself, because no one else was doing it. Despite my stupidity, I managed to save her (and myself). Extremely stupid with a successful outcome. God knows what I was thinking.

  4. Hello folks, Well its been a while since have posted on here, although I have not been a member for the last couple of years I have still been popping back on to see what's been going on and its good to see all of the usual suspects still around For the last couple of years I have been building and racing a Integra DC2 which has been great fun and have thoroughly enjoyed, they are fantastic cars although chalk and cheese with the XTR2. I have done quite a bit to the XTR2 over the last couple of years and for those of you that remember it had a supercharged busa engine, over the years I had endless problems with reliability due to the supercharger casing cracking and various other problems so with some help of great Cosmick Mike we (He) rebuilt the engine to standard form so I could finally get some reliable use out of it and touch wood since then has been great. The car has also been up to the gang at Northampton motorsport a couple of times and on the last visit pretty much had a complete chassis strip and rebuild and yet again another re designed fuel delivery system which has been working great. I have done a few subtle body design mods too as you will see from the pics below. Any how I have had a bit of a clear out of toys so the DC2, Boat and Defender have all gone and want to concentrate on the XTR2 so will be hoping to do as many track days and meets as possible Anyway here are a few current pics as she is

  5. Thursday January 30th 2014 club night All welcome Following on from our visit last night, I have arranged for another guest to visit on the above club night. Steve Wilkinson, motorsport journalist, photographer and author will be joining us to talk about his motorsport experiences. There will be a slide show to accompany the talk and belive me, Steve's photos are some of the best motorsport photos that you will ever see. He has also written books and is a regular contributor to Motorsport News, as well as commentating at Harewood Hillclimb and Aintree sprints. As usual, meet on the top floor of The Clock at Shardlow (DE72 2GL) for 7:00 - 7:30pm Looking forward to a good turn out to justify Steve traveling from Liverpool for the event John and Garry
