  1. The senior-aged couple had finally learned how to send and receive texts on their cell phones. The wife, being a romantic at heart, decided one day that she'd send her husband a text while she was out of the house having coffee with a friend. She texted: If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite. If you are drinking, send me a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you. The husband, being a no-nonsense sort of guy, texted back: I'm on the toilet. Please advise.

  3. No one's mentioned 'Our Nige', he knew how to get the crowd behind him. What a whinger Mansell was. Still he was a ballsy driver thats for certain.

  4. It's either on the track or it isn't. Curbs etc are used because they've allowed them to. Any advantage no matter how tiny will get exploited. Personally, I'd change all the curbs to the one way tyre shredders like Silverstone, you ride them too far and that's it, your tyres are gone. If you run wide accidentally, your only option is to go all the way off and rejoin safely beyond the bend/curb. Having been forced to slow in the mean time.

  5. Martin Brundle interviewed Charlie Whiting before the race and asked him directly about this. The answer was that the drivers were not gaining an advantage by having all four wheels off the track at a specific corner so it was okay. The drivers were going over astroturf and a rumblestrip which he argued was slower (less grip) than if the driver had stayed on the track. I don't buy it. The drivers would not repeatedly do it if it was slower. There may be less grip but the drivers can carry more speed through the corner and improve their exit.
