  1. I tend to keep away from F1 threads, everyone's entitled to their opinion and I respect that, and I'll probably make this my last post in this thread. It's difficult for us to associate with the mentality of a F1 champion, they are wired differently, at times their own lives are less important than winning when they're in the car. I think it's also occasionally worth remembering that English isn't his first language. Away from the car Seb is a genuinely nice guy and I felt a little balance was needed as it's easy to assume that the competitive personality you see racing is the whole guy. In Seb's case it couldn't be further from the truth, I've worked in F1 for nearly 25 years and he remains one of the nicest drivers away from the car that I've met.

  4. Neer side front wheel hit a large oak Tree square on so front half of the chassis is twisted out of true so would be a tub off engine out and a new half chassis job. It could be repaired but due to being a narrow body its not quite worth doing cost wize. Lv have made a fare offer on the phone so its not all bad. Now I just need to save up for a duratec or honda engined car ! Plenty of time to look . And make sure my car money is not spent on a new bathroom lol

  5. Yes what's the score Steve? For any prospective buyers this is a monster of a car. Very quick, very competitive and a smart package to look at too (and that's just Steve). Good luck with the sale. CTD

  9. I wouldn't think the team would worry as long as they get 1 and 2. Vettel can hardly lose his lead as long as he finishes on the podium. However, if his car is working properly I would think that Vettel will win without team orders or intervention.

  10. I've already got a 3.92 LSD diff, so while I haven't decided 100% one way or the other! I may try it and see how it goes. This won't be a stripped out track refugee. Quite the opposite, the whole reason for going down a different engine/box path is simply to move away from running a fairly highly tuned engine/straight cut 'box in a car getting the use the Westfield now gets. Don't misunderstand me, I'm really pleased with the point I've developed the XE too. It's powerful, torquey - it just pulls for England, even when off cam. And does it all without missing a beat, even in heavy traffic. However, it's just that little voice at the back of your mind that likes to remind you exactly how much it would cost if you did manage to blow the engine. I could buy many second hand F20C's for what it would cost to replace the XE "off the peg". And that's sort of the point.
