Welcome and come on in - After much speculation, ribbing and sarcasm I am delighted to announce that the new Westfield Sports Car Club Merchandise Store is now open Click here to you straight to the store - but read the bit below first Packed full of new, high quality, clothing ranges and all in stock for super quick delivery, I hope what I have prepared will surprise and delight in equal measure. Howsafe and the WSCC... The new WSCC merchandise store is operated by Howsafe Ltd under the Revkit banner. Howsafe was born in 1978 by Dad (Mike Howe), who fully retired about eight years ago. Howsafe specialise in workwear, embroidery and printing and safety equipment and are based in Peterborough, where we have three adjoining buildings, which includes our showroom, embroidery and print department, sales team and stores. Having previously supplied the WSCC committee and AO shirts I was given the opportunity to put forwards an “idea” for how Howsafe could handle the WSCC merchandise – and “in a nutshell” this is how we got to this stage. The New Range... The thought behind the new range comes from my own personal experience of five years of Westfield ownership (and twenty years selling workwear) with the car being driven throughout the year in all extremes of weather - even been to a very wet Wales in it – twice!!! I asked myself what would I like to wear whilst fixing, driving and socialising in my Westfield. I needed products that are good quality, preferably darker in colour so the accidental spillage does not show up to much and a variety of garments to suit our British weather. Therefore for the first time the WSCC has a clothing layering system on offer - many items as tried and tested by myself. Starting with the Base Layers by Helly Hansen which offer superb comfort in cooler conditions, with quick drying technology. Mid Layers consist of a range of two tone polo shirts, sweat shirts and hoodies – the sort of garments that can be worn all year though. For the Outer Layers I can offer outer shell type jackets that can be used with base/mid layers when the weather turns for the worse, a soft shell jacket, a range of cold weather padded jackets, a 3-in1 outdoor jacket with removable fleece and finally a one piece waterproof and breathable waterproof suit (you look a bit daft but it is extremely effective and packs down small so can be kept tucked behind a seat) Accessory wise at the moment we just have the A4 Sticker Sheet, but I am sure I will be liaising with the committee over the coming months to discuss other options Vouchers... Do you have a “Westfield” friend who has helped you out in a time of need? Has someone provided valuable advice over the years on the boardroom? Is Christmas or a Birthday looming? Whatever the reason why not buy them a voucher to use in the WSCC Merchandise Store – all you need is their email address and to decide on a value. A great way to express thanks or care! The WSCC Merchandise Store Basics... Simply visit the WSCC Merchandise store http://revkit.co.uk/wscc/ Add products into your cart after selecting the sizes and colours where required When you select "checkout" you have the option to checkout as a guest or register an account – simply follow the on screen instructions. When you confirm the order you will be taken to the PayPal payment screen. Do not panic if you do not wish to use PayPal, just click on "Pay with a debit or credit card". All orders over £50 go FOC – orders under are £5.00 postage How quick will we deliver? Well all the stock is now in place and I aim to despatch within a couple of working days using a business courier. Please note - it may well be worth having your goods delivered to your place of work if there is no one at home during normal work hours – this can be done at checkout stage. Please allow 7 working days for delivery. I have anywhere between 2 - 5 of each garment in stock (depending upon what it is), ready for quick despatch (except sizes small and XXL in the navy/royal polo shirt which our supplier is currently out of stock of). Clearly if we do have a bit of an initial run on garments or if someone takes a handful of garments of the same size and type I may find myself in a temporary stock out situation. If this is the case I will let you know and at the same time give you an idea on expected delivery. Whichever way you look at it I do aim to provide a consistent service with improved delivery times. In summary... So there you have it – it's early days, I hope the website holds up (I have tested and tested but you know how these things go) and if you do have any feedback/problems please email/message me through the WSCC Store.
