  1. Here is a link to the results Clicky Superb weather and a fantastic time by Barry S; breaking the 30 second mark in a roadgoing car in 29.96! Smashing both the Class D & F records and only 0.3 seconds off the Class H record. A couple of Westfields took on the grass banks of Shelsley and lost! Drivers ok but cars looking a bit sorry; all the best to Simon and Mark and hopefully your cars will be back out soon.

  2. Not sure if this should be here or in Tech Talk. I've had my 1989 1.6 CVH Westy for around 9 months, and have done a bit of tweeking. But felt it could run better, so booked it in with my local rolling road. On the 1st run the graph recorded 98.4 BHP- not too bad for a standard 1.6 CVH. After 8 more runs and a lot of tweeking of carb jets and timing the final graph recorded 109BHP and torque of 108.7 Lbft. This is from a standard engine runnig the standard single twin choke weber. To date this is the best money I've spent on the Westy. Not sure what the new MPG will be - but who cares when you have the smell of hot rubber in your nostrils. Already booked in for a 12 month health check. Dave

  6. Superb. Deserved. Earned. Respect. Class. Champion. Elite. Only thing that irked me was seeing our elected servants, Cameron and Salmon, in the box watching it for free, especially Salmon making the most of it politically for his independent Scotland agenda. No place for politicians.

  7. Apart from the history of waiting 77 years it was a fantastic match played by two men at the very top of their game. The result does not reflect how close it was. Well done Sir Andy.

  9. A group of us went to support from the Cotswold area. It was a fantastic day and all the Westie drivers drove brilliantly and it was a shame about the 2 crashes. Just goes to show how hard the guys are trying to find the elusive 10th of a second here and there.

  10. Really sorry to hear about Mallory, it is dissapointing from what mark says that hey have not helped themselves. It was very similar at Croft a few years back and they went down to 45 noisey days, yet are still running. It's almost a shame that someone doesn't have a go at Silverstone to really bring this whole issue to the main political parties attention and get something sorted once and for all. As it's crazy that race courses that have been there for years can suddenly start to get attacked for noise. Normally by people who have recently moved into the area "rant over"

  11. Packaging is avoidable...let's not limit the list to avoidable things, that would be dull! One from me - children in pubs. I used to go to the pub to get away from the miserable screaming twits, now the pubs are packed with them. And by packed, I mean one if it's crying, screaming, running around, within 30 foot of me, or all of these.
