  1. now that we're members only (almost), that users were made to put a location in their profile. How many posts are followed by "where are you" questions. I would also say that if you start a thread on tech talk you must fill in car details. Only day dreaming, excuse me. Maybe the location and car details should only be visible to members.

  2. Or keep the swept wings. Far more attractive, less unsprung weight on the front wheels, better turning circle, fewer stones/water thrown at you by the front tyres ;-) (IMO) Ben

  3. Its a bit like at Stoneleigh when we all walk around mere inches from some people we would probably like to engage with but in blissful ignorance apart from maybe a collectible T shirt who are we MI5 agents. I know we all like to protect our details but knowing where someone lives in a population of 15million ain't going to hurt. Not as if we are the only gays in the village. Bob

  5. Treat every one or everything on the road or adjacent as a potential incident and you will be ok. Cycling standards as well as driving standards are getting worse, people believe they are always in the right and show in many cases no regards for others. Annoying but we have to just get over it after our manly rant. I do it every day when some idiot has, cut me up, left there fog lights on, pulled out in front of me, generally p*ss*ed me off. Not worth letting your blood pressure get too high. Have a rant and move on, lifes too short. Expect the unexpected at all times. Plenty of f*c*in* idiots out there. Bob :d

  6. I'm very careful around horses, most unreliable creatures when on the road. If in the Westfield, I wait until its well clear before slowly overtaking in a higher gear than normal to reduce noise levels. Even then, I've had a few hand gestures and foul language comments. What really grinds my gears as a driver are bicyclists who refuse to use cycle lanes. There's a well-known video of a cyclist almost copping it at a roundabout when a tanker driver fails to see him. What's rarely shown is the 60 seconds of helmet cam footage before where he's cycling outside the cycle lane in the carriageway because he thinks it's safer. Look mate, your lot are the ones who moaned for many years that you needed your own special lane for protection. Now you've got it, which forces drivers to pass oncoming traffic a metre closer to each other on a road you didn't pay for and you won't use it, slowing down traffic behind you, making them take chances to get around you and making road users who pay angry? You selfish, blinkered git. /been a while since I had a decent rant

  7. Well that is selfish and stupid. She should not be doing it and riding with due care and attention. A bit of self preservation never hurts - we all know that as we drive Westfields! She should have the full weight of the law thrown at her and be charged with cycling furiously.

  12. Evening chaps. This posting is fast becoming as controversial as `LUNATIC DRIVER`.....LOVE IT... As drivers we pay road tax & insurance..THE LAW.. Do these cyclists and horse riders? If not they shouldn`t be on the public highway TOUGH.. I live in the country,my kids ride horses (in fields) and for what it`s worth that`s my opinion ! Keep stoking the fire boys,,,,,,,this is why we`re loving our forums so much.

  13. Anyway, what gets me is if walking on path, they ride on path, if driving... They're on the road! The biggest bug bare is the nunneys that ride up the side of traffic then if they get to a red light, pavement, then road again! What about the great parents that lead their children... Leave the child wobbling around behind you trying to keep up, don't worry they won't fall off or get run over!!! Slightly OT, who else has young parents push a push chair into oncoming traffic and expect you to stop... "IT's a BABY!!!" No, not me.. .Clutch in and ready to brake if needed, slowing a bit... As i'm level and going passed, right foot down, Westfield exhaust lights up like a thunder storm and it's not just the baby that needs a new nappy!
