Well I've managed to tear myself away from the Christmas food and drink long enough for a quick update... Quick release arrived from Playskool - I'm really impressed with how solid it is, now fitted. Wheel is totally finished and working perfectly (in my study, anyway ) Took a lot of fiddly soldering and heatshrink, but pleased with the results - here's the messy side: The transmitter fits snugly inside the black box, velcro'd to the wheel - so easy to change the battery when the indicators pack up... Buttons are indicators (will be self cancelling), main beam (will flash once if headlights are off, or latch on if headlights are on), trigger for GPS lap timer on ETB DigiDash2. Now I just have to build the vehicle-side control module - hopefully ready before summer Enjoy the mince pies everyone!

It's time to start looking forward to the 2013 trackday season and as usual we will be opening it up with our club day at Oulton Park. Friday March 1st is the date and we've held the same price as 2012 so it's £130 for open pitlane on the full International Circuit. If you book using the code WSCC you will also be entered into our draw for free places, one in every five that books with this code will get their money back! We will be sticking with the usual numbers which should mean no queuing (red flags permitting!) and free tuition will be available from our team of ARDS instructors. For any of you that haven't been on our days before, we run just two or three trackdays a year working with other clubs and forums and the emphasis is a friendly day with plenty of track time (many thanks to the mods on here for allowing us to post our days up, we couldn't do it without your help ). Suitable for novices, regular track monkeys and everyone in-between, these days usually fill well in advance so early booking is recommended, once it's full, it's full! Following on from the poll asking if you wanted WSCC Nominated Trackdays for 2013, the answer was 93 % in favour , so here you go. The nominated days below are where WSCC members can go and expect to have a good group of Westfield’s to enjoy the day with. Some of the days will offer discounts to WSCC members and these will be put in separate threads about them. This posting is purely to inform you of the dates and who is organising the day. You will need to contact the organiser direct for information on the day and to book it. This list will be updated throughout the year and any changes will be put here. Welcome to the site and hopefully the club. There are loads of us in Swindon and the surrounding area (8+!). When the weather was good we had a nice little meet at the Sun Inn by Coate Water too.

At least folk born in London do not have an accent (thank Christ). It is all the other b*******s living around the country have them!
