  1. and whilst the car is sitting their for sale the warranty is being eaten into as well Like most of the comments the thought of spending 25k plus on a 7 is ludicrous (or half that IMO) - you can have just as much fun in a car costing fraction of the price although admittedly in most cases you wont be going quite so quick when you crash but most of us are not the target audience for the car in question so it is all rather irrelevant what we think

  2. 2011 WSCC Class A Championship Winning car for sale Well the time has come to sell my Westfield, I have owned it since Sept 2003 and it has been steadily upgraded over this time. The car is used primarily to compete in the Westfield Speed Series (Class A) as can be seen from the MOT’s listed below the only time it’s used on the public highway is to and from the test! August 2007 4329 miles August 2008 4596 miles August 2009 4647 miles August 2010 4714 miles August 2011 4785 miles Current mileage is 4811. The car was first registered in July 2001. Having owned this car for 8 years the time has come to sell it, it would make a fast, reliable road car or a first sprint hillclimb car -- I am only selling as I want a new challenge in a different class of the Speed Series. Not used since Oct 2011 but will be supplied with new MOT NOW REDUCED TO £6500 Engine Ford Zetec 1800 Silvertop (Brand new service engine 2004), ARP con rod and flywheel bolts, Kent fast road cams and vernier pulleys. Omex Shift Light Sequential Twin Dellorto 45s, rebuilt and dyno’d by Dennis Vessey in 2010 Megajolt ECU fitted in 2005 and never missed a beat since! 4. Look on the good side guys, it's obvious that Caterham prices are getting pretty high. (maybe to pay for the F1 Team, who knows) but this should only have a knock on good effect on Westfield residuals, which helps all of us. I'm all for them making big money.

  6. It proves to me that Westfields still are cheaper than a Caterham, comparing like with like. Dont think an R500 has much that my car doesn't have, and although my car has cost an aweful lot compared with what 98% on here will have paid it is still a lot less than an R500! And no I'm not going to say how much I've spent on mine, and have people calling me bonkers. I had to larf though, when someone tries to compare the price of a 6 year old car with a brand new car!! Come on! My Volvo V50 diesel turbo sport would be what new? About £23 or 24 K I guess? How much now as a 6 year old car, £7k maybe if I'm lucky, I don't know. How does that compare? If nobody was in the market for new cars where would the second hand cars come from? If ther is a market for new cars, then what is wrong with someone wanting a new Caterham? I just dont see why we have to call everbody who spends more than we do on our car an idiot or something implying that.

  7. I've still got my old style licence too. Mine was falling apart, so I carefully rebuilt it, and laminated it. The bonus is I can just wipe off any endorsements now
