  5. you dont have to read it ,no one's forcing you to ,just dont read it then start bleating about it ,everyone one has there own opinions i choose to voice mine its up to you and others weather you and they agree or not i couldnt give a flying chuff either way im not out to win freinds ,i have plenty of them , at least i speak my mind and if you dont like it its not my problem , i would rather stand up for what i believe than say nowt weather it upsets people or not , i have been a wscc member since 1997 i think from memory and a proud member ,when someone pops up who is not a member starts critisising the club forum because they cant get summat for free then i will say what i believe is right

  6. Think Andrew and Cleggy make some very valid and constructive points and they are WSCC members Sadly its certainly not the welcoming place that the site used to be famous for anymore Reading some of the comments that potential members have received i'm not sure they will have parted with any money A few years ago folk would have been encouraged to join and not 'jumped' on for either not being a member or for offering a suggestion as a non fee paying member As for the search function there's always Google, Locostbuilders or even Blatchat But at the end of the day though its the committee that make the decisions so its up to them They do a very good job and are all volunteers Just my 2p as an old ex member who hopes he's helped a few members AND non members over the years (and also recruited a few when he was an AO) But now apparently a "freeloader"

  7. My 2p I have never agreed with non members not being able to answer in the for sale section. A lot of engine / transmission parts sold are sought after by other car owners, who have absolutely no interest in kit cars. It's basically restricting the number of potential buyers. Would you pay to join say, the Allegro owners club to buy a steering column? I can't imagine withholding the search facility will make non members put hands in pocket either. Apparently they can use Google, so what's the point. (In the real world, if someone asks you something about your Westfield, you don't tell him / her to f**k off join the club and do a search! Why should it be different on here?) And, the number of threads recently rudely telling potential club members to "pay up or shut up" in my opinion, will have only one outcome. Potential club member goes elsewhere!
