by build your own do you mean chassis from tubes or buy one and go thro it to make it ok i would take her and let her have a go if she likes it buy a secondhand kart with engine and let her do some practice sessions at your local circuit at her age you would be looking at a cadet kart with a honda gx160 single engine wouldnt even consider making your own chassis and they wouldnt let you on track with it1 point
