  1. As I have my Sigma engine set aside, ready for installation at the end of the year, I asked my daughter to come up with a decal I can put on the back of the Westy once it goes in. My only instruction was "have a look at Ford's badge design for the Puma and see if you can adapt it somehow". I think this look pretty cool!

  3. Yes a seat but in the end a friend done them for me in-between jobs I had to wait about a year for the whole interior but it ended up costing less than on seat

  4. Right come on folks, Christmas is out of the way and the start of the Speed Series season is a matter of a few weeks away. As John says please get your registrations in ASAP as the official closing date is 9th March. Knowing numbers helps with ordering T shirts and stickers etc, so please sign up as soon as possible.

  5. Bit of a new year update:MOT passed last week with zero advisoriesInsurance renewed, slight increase but that was down to Agreed Valuation needing to be increased to reflect recent sale prices of other SEiGHTs Wheels refurbished in a slightly darker shade of grey -n they were 99% oerfect as they were but just wanted a subtly different look to them New Caterham CSR vented style carbon wings ordered from Carbon NVRun out yesterday - over to the superb Chocks Away diner with a few Tiger and Cobra replica owning friendson the Broughton Airbus site followed by a run over to the Ponderosa on the Horseshoe Pass then back home via Oswestry - a nice 130 mile Sunday run, even if trying to put down 330bhp on cold, damp roads was pretty challenging

  10. There's a version that's all distorted on the rear corner for over zealous Duratec drivers as well

  11. That's ace. How about this tweak...? or the crossflow version?

  12. like that, the outline is perfect, maybe you could have wheels with the FORD badge in the centre exaggerated, for speed as it looks like its moving already?

  13. In my first years of sprinting with the Westie I was doing both. Often used to go across to Anglesey for a trackday on the friday followed by the sprint weekend, some brilliant times. Great fun.

  14. I live 150 miles from KH...I hope others bed it in before then, the kerbs havent been changed so the track is now 3 inches higher which means the kerbs are lower..they have changed a couple of the run off areas more so for anticlockwise....Landrover Jaguar have hired the track for a week/10 days so there were pleanty of cars going aropund at the weekend...problem is it was rather wet

  15. Cement is what I use. Usually buy a small bag of PostCrete from B&Q - it's what you see the marshals do on track spills, cement over the spill and use a big brush to brush it off.

  16. I hazard a guess to what they will quote. Probably cheaper to get new seats from somewhere. I took a hood in there to mod to a roll bar and they werent interested . Their workmanship then was second to none, but you have to pay for this.

  17. I was quoted £300 a seat 4 years ago but that was with all the extra stitching I wanted and the Westfield logo in the head rests so a standard seat should be a bit cheaper

  18. So the odd track day is disturbing the locals, unlike the 24/7 Hercules operations when it was an operational RAF base? It will be interesting if the Commandant has a say in this if the revenue is going to another budget.

  19. I can recommend retirement. Plenty of time for the Westfield. Grand kids are interesting and then go home. Holidays outside term time.
