martyblues Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Hi Norman Thanks for the welcome I like the look of that car do you think it is a narrow? not that it would bother me if it is Martin Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Hi Martin, welcome to the club. Looking at the Pictures on ebay, the car is a Narrow body, other than that I can't tell you much more about it. Where have you been getting insurance quotes from? as normally insurance for us is about the same as a years road tax, you need to avoid the regular insurers and talk to some of the specialist kit car companies such as A-plan. http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/95474-a-plan-insurance-scheme-for-w-s-c-c-members/?p=966423 Quote
martyblues Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Thank You good looking one, I had the misfortune of doing rather a lot of damage in a brand new Mitsu L200 18 months ago. Have had a quote from Adrian Flux for that car on ebay under £400 with low miles per year will give A plan a try Thanks again Martin Quote
FILFAN Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Hi Martin and welcome to the club I'm liking the F4 1 Quote
Norman Verona Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 AF would be the last I would try, that's from personal experience. Smokey's answered the question. I wouldn't know anyway, as I have a Caterham. Quote
User0083 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Hey up, welcome aboard. Plenty of knowledge, experience and opinions here... Usually Norman's, usually wanted and usually good. Many times I've just thought about something, put it here, put kettle on and before tea's done question's been answered! 1 Quote
alexander72 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Welcome, i'm newbie as well, i was looking for ages for a car and eventually settled for a Narrow SE with 1700 x flow - great place to start. There is so much experience on here that will give you well meant, honest and accurate advice. One thing to remember is that nearly all cars are unique (we are all individuals!! springs to mind) and so it's hard to compare. Post an ad in the wanted section and something will find you.... :-) Good luck and welcome to the club James ALexander (Alexander72) 1 Quote

martyblues Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Very good, I have the narrow member, but short of a narrow car at the moment any chance you could take a look at the one on ebay and let me know what you think? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330793823849?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Quote
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Bought mine in March last year and have enjoyed every moment in it, admittedly not enough time due to work and crap weather though! Now enjoying winter layup to tinker with things to tailor it to my preferences. Good luck with your search, I'm off to the garage again for more tinkering time Quote
