Hello to all,

Just joined this great club and looking forward to the purchase of my first Westfield. :)

Insurance quotes limiting me to smaller engined older models

Have seen one on Evil bay at a dealer called Focus near Bury st Edmunds does anybody know the cars history or what variant it is.

would go and look at it but 400mile round trip from my place in TVR land.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Martin

Welcome to the madhouse Martin.

can't help with the car or dealer, just thought I'd introduce myself formally.

Hi Norman

Thanks for the welcome

I like the look of that car do you think it is a narrow? not that it would bother me if it is

Hi Martin, welcome to the club.

Looking at the Pictures on ebay, the car is a Narrow body, other than that I can't tell you much more about it.

Where have you been getting insurance quotes from? as normally insurance for us is about the same as a years road tax, you need to avoid the regular insurers and talk to some of the specialist kit car companies such as A-plan.

Thank You good looking one,

I had the misfortune of doing rather a lot of damage in a brand new Mitsu L200 18 months ago.

Have had a quote from Adrian Flux for that car on ebay under £400 with low miles per year

will give A plan a try

Thanks again

Martin

AF would be the last I would try, that's from personal experience.

Smokey's answered the question. I wouldn't know anyway, as I have a Caterham.

Hey up, welcome aboard.

Plenty of knowledge, experience and opinions here... Usually Norman's, usually wanted and usually good.

Many times I've just thought about something, put it here, put kettle on and before tea's done question's been answered!

Welcome, i'm newbie as well, i was looking for ages for a car and eventually settled for a Narrow SE with 1700 x flow - great place to start.  There is so much experience on here that will give you well meant, honest and accurate advice.

One thing to remember is that nearly all cars are unique (we are all individuals!! springs to mind) and so it's hard to compare.

Post an ad in the wanted section and something will find you.... :-)

Good luck and welcome to the club

Bought mine in March last year and have enjoyed every moment in it, admittedly not enough time due to work and crap weather though!

Now enjoying winter layup to tinker with things to tailor it to my preferences.

Good luck with your search, I'm off to the garage again for more tinkering time  :)
