the merc and multipla must sadly go .for new vehicles

for work im thinking ford ka or c1 or kia . cheap tax and cheap fuel costs

for towcar looking for 4x4 with about 170bhp diesel

main contender  at moment kia due to 7 year trouble free package [good on fuel]

but will look at any recomended vehicles

whats your recommended vehicle and why

Google freedomcontracts. There are some bargain lease deals about at the moment so it is hardly worth bothering to buy a new car.

Lots of views but no comment.

Pete, you and I must be the only sad bas*ards looking to buy commuters.

Kia Picanto Halo looks like a good deal at the moment. Tax free, 68mpg (in ideal conditions), 1.2 engine and 7 years warranty with lots of toys. Anyone have any opinions?

Mmmm. I'm thinking that sitting on the M25 on a hot summers afternoon is going to need A/C at least (oh and alloy wheels  ).

What is it with you and fugly cars? Multiplas and KAs top the list :p

Get something like a 12 month old diesel Fiesta or Pug 207. I've got a 1.4HDi of the latter. 65mpg and free road tax plus easy 90mph when needed. Luvly jubby

Tow car wise, not got any ideas yet

new ka look quite nice now john. hoping they going to update it with the new 1litre turbo unit. no point getting a 1 year old car these days.

new cars seem cheaper with all the discounts about

would like a new fiesta. looks nice with that aston martin grill but to pricey

Isn't the ford ka a fiat 500 underneath? The C1 is a Toyota Aygo and a Pegeot 107. Kia seem to of come on a long way from reviews etc.

Tow, Skoda Yeti 170 diesel? Missus has the 1.2 2wd and its a comfy car, great for chucking about. People on briskoda seem happy enough with its towing (1800kg braked apparently), although I guess it depends what your lugging about.
