Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
Two answers in one here For the weekend boys, I don’t think we need an early start, I suggest meeting at Mikes about 10.30am on sat, its only 2 hours down to Newark, leaving Newark when we’re fed up, on the way to Curborough stop off at a Supermarket and get a couple of throwaway BBQs some steak, bacon, sausages, bread rolls and other bits and bobs, on arrival at Curborough set up the tents and get BBQing, eat drink and be merry, then go to bed, get up and make some bacon and sausage butties and enjoy the day, going home when we’ve had enough, how does that sound Alternatively we could eat out on sat eve and find a Little Chef on sun morn. I prefer to stay on site and socialise, comments please Andy Get on the M60 to Stockport then head out to New Mills then Buxton from there A515 to Ashbourne carry on the A515 to the A50 turn left for 1/2mile then right back onto the A515 for Lichfield just before Lichfield turn left for Curborough, I guarantee you will enjoy this route
Bananaman
Thanks Paul I know my way to Buxton, however the rest of it will be new ground, should be fun if the roads are anything like the run from Chapel to Chesterfield. Si you have mail. Andy

MarcusH
Good weekend that. The camping at Curborough was made pretty civilised by Hurdseys unfaultable shopping list. We got a steak meal, red wine and a desert before settling down with the beer. And thanks to Glen turning up with his tin top loaded with BBQ, chairs, gazeebo etc. Once again Glen proved beyond all doubt that hes a nutter by driving the tin top back to Manchester with us Cant imagine what hes like in a Westy Well done Scott on your result btw
